Back to Normal for July

crossover_chickMy parents came home a bit early from their anniversary trip, and today's school day was pretty much normal (except for a surprising number of classmates being out), so yeah -- things are as they were once more. Until Friday, that is, when I have a three-day weekend. :P And I have a new nightgown (parents got me one on their trip), so that's nice.
Hot one today, and humid -- seems to be cooling down now though. We suspect thunderstorms are on the way -- they've been predicted for the 3rd and 4th, but they might be rolling in early. I suspect a lot of people would prefer they do, given that otherwise the weekend's going to be a wash. (Me, I don't care that much since I have no huge plans.) We'll see tomorrow, I suppose.
In DragonVale news, I just hatched a Howl dragon, which came with the name Stratos -- 'kay then. I've got a Nightshade and the Jade incubating, and now I'm trying for the Wisp. May need to build some new habitats soon, and do a little dragon rearranging. I also threw together my Chrome and Scorch for the Ruby -- instead I'm either getting another Rainbow or another Gold. Hoping it's the former, since there's an achievement for that. Liberty dragon should also be released this week, so have to prep for that.
Hearthstone -- ass kicked twice, though they were pretty close games! I also earned the card back for the June Season, so now I have pretty purplish cards with rainbows and clouds. :) Thinking of doing another arena run soon -- even if I do three and out, I'm guaranteed a pack of cards, and if I get something halfway decent. . . *shrug*
Been thinking about modern mages thanks to various people posting about "street magic" and other magical stuff on tumblr. There may be rambling about that at some point on Victor Luvs Alice.
And now I still have stuff to answer, so later!

Date: 2014-07-02 12:03 pm (UTC)The Summer will hatch in a little over an hour, so I'll be back then. I'm tempted to name it Olaf if it doesn't come with something cool, lol. Edit: Came with my Air's name of Slythe, so I went and named him Olaf, lol. If the Nursery wizards are responsible for the pregenerated names, what's their excuse for the duplicates? :p Maybe they're very forgetful since there's 186 dragons total. ^^v
That's about it until the Summer hatches and the Colosseum is done. I made treats to level up Borogoves and Sparky to see if they may give me the Wisp I'm trying for but I keep forgetting to feed them before I hit Retry, heh.

Edit: Forgot the Colosseum AGAIN! Sparkler won a Gold, put Crystal into Earth.

XD Dunno what I"m going to name my Summer. . .and yeah, with so many dragons to keep track up, I'm sure they make mistakes. I mean, these are busy wizards! Tending eggs, growing crops, creating habitats, having to clean up the mess created by them creating habitats. . . XD (Seriously, read the descriptions. The things they get up to with unstable portals. . .)
Also my Jade hatched just now -- came with the name Borogoves, but I renamed it Tai after Jason Tai, lead composer on A:MR. :)
Last night's Colosseum results -- Petal won a Gold, and Crackle is in Fire. DC: 387,149,722; G: 349. And over 6 million food, for good measure. :P
