Even More Shockingly Productive Sunday
Jul. 6th, 2014 08:57 pmMade all the more surprising by the fact that I nearly ended up running off two hours sleep -- I made the mistake of looking up something disturbing on TV Tropes, meaning it took me a while to get my brain to stop focusing on it, and then once I DID get to sleep, I woke up two hours later boiling hot and had to turn my air conditioning on. Fortunately after that I slept to about 9:30, so I've been okay most of the day. Just hoping I don't have much trouble on the sleep front tonight.
At any rate, things that have gotten done:
-->Another RP queue on Tumblr, and keeping up pretty decently with replies this evening everywhere
-->Win streak in Hearthstone! Won as a Rogue, a Paladin, and twice leveling up my Hunter. Feeling gooood :)
-->Got another chunk done on "In The Land of the Dead," connecting to a pre-written chunk -- in the home stretch! I'll probably finish it this week, let it sit for a day or two while I Blu-Ray up another chapter of "Forgetting You," then start the editing-to-post process.
-->Website stuff: Baby Food and Honey of the 25 Foods prompts are up on the website -- the former with a tiny tweak that I think makes the story flow a little better. (Gigs pointed out to me that Chester is probably of the age to be having solid food given that he's talking back when I first posted it -- I altered one of Alice's line to reflect that, and imply that this is either a first course to a bigger meal or just a snack.) Also got the page of animal-themed spells up for Forgotten's spellbook. That's actually almost done -- just two sets of spells to go! Summoning & Banishing and Travel -- fun.
-->Got everything queued for my personal tumblr posts tomorrow, yay. One load off the mind!
Not much to report in DragonVale, sadly -- just me failing to get either the Liberty or Ruby and getting a nursery full of eggs that take annoyingly long times to hatch. Meh. It'll be easier once the Electrum hatches, I suppose. Gotta get the Treasure habitat for it building when I got to bed tonight.
All right, time to finish off some tags, then hit the sheets. Three weeks of school left, and I'd like to be awake for them. Later!

Date: 2014-07-07 12:35 pm (UTC)Nothing much else. I have longish fails in both my breeding environments so I'm stuck until later tonight.
DC: 421,690,503; G: 639.
Antoinette kept asking me if she could get the money over the weekend, so I let her. She also had hold of my phone yesterday and was just watching Kairos fly over the Islands, scrolling the screen to follow him. And she calls Gemstone Island "Stone Island".
I also have a How to Train Your Dragon 2-themed game called "Rise of Berk" (it sorta-kinda follows the storyline of the movie...ish) that I've been fiddling with and she's "helped" with that by collecting the wood and fish those dragons collect as part of the game.

Date: 2014-07-07 11:05 pm (UTC)Fafnir won a Gold this morning, and I've got Nemo in Water. DC: 474,080,484; G: 416.
Awww, adorable. :) I can only show my park to my parents, and I don't think they quite understand how the game works, sadly.
Really? That's pretty cool. I might have to check into that. :) What sort of game is that?

Build your OWN Berk! Rescue, hatch and train your favorite DreamWorks Dragons! Explore uncharted lands in a vast Viking world!
Join Hiccup, Toothless and the gang to protect your village from the mysterious strangers that threaten peace on Berk. Who are they? And, what do they want from your harmonious homeland? Train your DreamWorks Dragons successfully and they'll reveal new powers that will help ensure the future of your island.
Remember...it takes a village...and DRAGONS!
---
You send Hiccup and Toothless out to search for dragons and when you find an egg, you can hatch it and then place it on the islands. The number of dragons you can have at once is limited to the number of Vikings you have and that increases as you build buildings. The dragons that are not Toothless can gather fish and/or wood and you use those materials to upgrade things like the storage or the sawmill. You complete quests for rewards of fish, wood or runes (the game's version of gems) and the storyline of the movie kind of plays out as you go. The fish also help level up the dragons to a point, then they have to go get "trained" at the Academy (using wood for some reason) to reach the next one. Like, fish will level them to 15 and then they go to the Academy for x-amount of time to get to 16, then more fish up to like 20 for example. Like the treats in DV, the number of fish needed to get the dragon to the next level increases the higher they go.
I'm probably not explaining it good, but it's a cute enough game. It has the movie's humor in the character dialogue text, so... *shrug* Plus it's free, lol.
