DragonVale Doing A New Event

Like the Magic Egg Hunt, we're collecting something -- but this time it's fireflies, and the whole point is to introduce day and night into the Vale! :D New dragons, new decorations, all sorts of fun stuff is available! Well, for those who have the update triggered -- I've seen it in some other parks, but mine's still bright daylight. Ah well, hopefully I can get it to work soon. . .

Anyway, a few quick things since bed is calling:

-->Hatched my Liberty dragon; named her Lady because reasons. :P

-->One loss, one win as Rexxar the Hunter today in Hearthstone -- the win was actually a fairly close one against another Rexxar. XD

-->Another fairly quiet day on the RP front -- took advantage of it to poke at Chapter 5 of "Forgetting You." I've always thought the Hatter's Domain chapter was fairly weak, so I'm taking full advantage of the opportunity to tweak.

-->Mom got me some new skirts today to expand my wardrobe a bit. Two fit, the third -- doesn't fit around my thighs. This is occasionally a problem -- small waist, wide hips. Ah well, two out of three isn't bad.

And now I really need to finish wrapping things up online and hit the sheets -- g'night all!

Same with me. I got the update but it's still daylight in my game. Only one person in my Social list has it. Maybe it's a time zone thing? I mean, if I had to guess, I'd say it was going to start in the afternoon because I've noticed they tend to release things around like 12:30. How much do you wanna bet that the Island there is the last reward and you have to spend real money to get it? :p Edit: Well, I was right about the timing. The rewards are Dawnbreak Edifice, Dawn Pedastal, Dawn Dragon, Duskfall Edifice, Dusk Pedastal, Dusk Dragon, Celestial Habitat, Twilight Tower. You find the fireflies by breeding dragons, collecting dragoncash or treats, visitig friends and clearing items from new islands. At the end of the event, every 5 unclaimed fireflies will equal 1 gem. You also can't turn in the fireflies until you have enough for the reward unlike the eggs. I don't see anything that gives what gives out how many fireflies yet, though I do know that the total amount of fireflies needed to get every reward is 5500 (which is 1500 more than the Magic Eggs need for all those rewards). I hope collecting fireflies will be easier than the Eggs.

However, what IS in my game is a brand-new Wisp dragon! I FINALLY got it this morning and it has a short incubation and hatching time, so... It came with the name Fornax but I was feeling silly so I named her Willow.

I also bred a Radiant and with Kairos' help it will hatch tonight. That's the last Metal-element I need.

I was going to try for the Dream again, but I didn't feel like dealing with [Double] Rainbows while Kairos was unavailable, so I opted to put my Magnetic and Plasma dragons together to see if I could get an Ouroboros, Cyclops or Electrum. They said no and are giving me another Magnetic instead, lol.

Konohaha won a Gold and I put Fang into Earth.

Yeah, I looked up the Facebook page and lots of people were complaining, so at least I know it wasn't a glitch on my end -- just a timezone thing. So basically it's a lot like the Magic Egg Hunt, only with a summer theme instead of an Easter one. I'm glad they've spelt some of the rules out more clearly this time -- and I'm glad you can still get gems for excess fireflies. :) The new island with all the stuff looks great -- and I've been wanting new Sun dragons! :D This means I can finally take Solaris out of Hibernation! And yes, it is -- you get fireflies from hatching dragons and building habitats too. I got 25 for sticking in a new Giant Dark for my Cave dragon (Schwartz), and 20 for Schwartz himself. :D Thanks to that and the 250 you get for completing the tutorial, I've already got the Dawnbreak Edifice.

Congrats on your Wisp and Radiant! :D I'm still having no luck with the former. Well, maybe I'll get one during the event. Definitely summoning in my island during this thing -- clearing stuff for more fireflies, yaaay. Probably wait until we learn if there's any firefly caps like there were with the eggs.
