Been kind of a stressed day -- lot of tags, particularly fairly long ones, to answer on tumblr today. Doesn't help that Forgotten's in the middle of a fight between a few members of his adopted family, being the only one anyone ever seems to really talk to. . . Add to that another idiot bus driver this morning not doing his route correctly (he missed the correct exit and had to loop back around -- on the plus side, I still got to CCRI on time because the loop-around put it first), some general end-of-school jitters, a very hot and humid day (we're expecting thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow), and feeling pretty damn tired, and -- yeah. Just keeping up with everything as best I can.

Nothing really new to report in DragonVale -- just need two more fireflies to spawn from habitats and I'm set for the night. I also hatched my Malachite today -- named him Banner, since he's the other one with Hulk references. I should have a Dusk Dragon to report on tomorrow, at least.

Hearthstone -- the new single-player "Curse of Naxxramus" adventure is up! I gave it a try, and lost three times to the first NPC, a huge spider monster. Eugh. I tried Valeera, Thrall, and Jaina against it -- Jaina injured it the most, so I think magic's the way to go here. . . Maybe I'll let Anduin take it on next time. Someone who can heal regularly might be better-suited for these sorts of missions. We'll see.

All right, I still have stuff to answer, not to mention I still have my dessert to eat. Later all! Sleep tight!

Dusk came with the name Nott, but I thought Twilight sounded better. :p

I only wound up with 1021 last night because they didn't want to spawn and I wanted to sleep. But as long as I keep getting the most out of each day, I should still be able to get all the rewards before the Event ends (like, the day before if my calculations are right). Current calculations state that I'll get the Celestial Habitat on Saturday if this weekend is a Double.

I decided to change things up too and forwent (is that a word?) the Hydra and tried for a Mirage. Borogoves and Sear said, "Nope. Have a Watch or an Ember instead." :/ When my Apocolypse-type fail is done I may throw Lumen and Chalice together to try for a Shadow while I'm at it. They're the last Opposites I need until the Dark Rift and Light Rift come back and the last two I need in the Dark and Light categories in the Dragonarium.

I'm taking a different approach with the clearing of the Ninth Island. When I got in this morning I forgot it was Thursday (it happens...) so I wound up clearing out like a bush or something when I already had the five Huge Trees ready to go. So what I decided to do was just spend the money and start everything clearing, then tap on five things a day to get those Fireflies. At least that way I don't have to remember to time things to be ready to clear at a certain time. I just have to be careful to just tap on 5 things a day.

So that's about it.

Edit: I'm stuck at 67 because the last ones don't want to spawn, but whatever. Also, something new is coming. The silhouette looks like the Light Rift to me but I think that one has its own Event, so I dunno...

As promised, I have named my Dusk Set -- after it came with the name Frigid. O.o Oookay then. :P

I actually ended up with 1040 myself -- those last two fireflies wouldn't spawn from habitats, so in order to make up the lack I went ahead and upgraded my Fire shrine for four gems. Fingers crossed I can score the Celestial Habitat sometime this weekend too! Might be time to start spending a few gems here and there to keep my totals up. . .

Ah well -- my Ruby breeders are making me YET ANOTHER FREAKING RAINBOW. I really hate when Gemstone pairings can include such long fails. . . (Though I should say I hatched the Platinum I got last time from attempting the Water/Plant combo -- his name is Mark. Might as well max the Treasure earning potential.) Good luck with your Shadow! I ought to try for that myself later.

Heh -- well, whatever approach works best for you. *nods* I like to use the timings/set up five or so things just so I know what to clear. Though I'm down to mostly the "less than a day" stuff, so that's helpful. Just one last Giant Tree and Boulder Pile, and they'll be ready on Saturday.

Errol won a gold, and I've got Glowy in Plant. DC: 242,730,955; G: 398; FF: 68 -- just need 2 more from food on that, and the 20 from party hats.

Light Rift and its counterpart came into being during the Magic event, I believe. Maybe they're doing a rerelease? I guess we'll have to wait and see. . .

I don't plan on collecting any Fireflies until after 12:30 tomorrow just in case it is a Double Weekend.

That's -- actually probably not a bad plan, though I don't think I'll be able to follow your lead, not totally. I can hold off on eggs and clearing, but I doubt I'll be able to stop myself from tapping on habitats and food. ^^;

Well Habitats and food are random as it is, so you're probably good there. Even breeding should be okay maybe. I'm talking about the fixed amounts like obstacles and party hats. I don't want to miss out on an extra, what is it 30? or whatever, Fireflies because I got too antsy about waiting.

"Fixed" meaning tap-tap-tap and you're maxed out, not like the awful drop rate of Habitats and food.

Ah, yes, good point. And I think you can make up those first anyway once the actual doubling starts. *nods* Party hats are always an evening thing to me anyway, but good call on the obstacles. *will leave hers til the afternoon too*
