crossover_chickDiscovering the old lady who lives here crying and me not sure what to do about it (she's sadly near-impossible to understand), and having a hell of a time getting a hold of my Mom, who WOULD know. Fortunately it's all been resolved now, but man, that was a hard first hour! Completely threw me off trying to RP -- though I have done all my replies as queued stuff. So that's nice at least.
Rest of the day was pretty quiet, honestly -- slow RP and not much happening in class either. My DragonVale breeders continue to be dicks (I'm either getting another Rainbow or another Gold from my "Ruby" breeders), and I'm still trying to snag two last fireflies from food. Though I'm actually a touch reluctant, as my current set is 88. XD Reason it's so low is because I am now the proud owner of a Dusk dragon! Named it Set, like I said I would. It's a cutie. Now I just need to get those last two rewards. . . Come on, Double Weekend!
Did some Hearthstone too -- still can't get past the first round of the Arachnid wing in the new expansion. I looked up a quick tip on how to beat it, and I think what I need is the Hunter. So I spent a good chunk of the evening playing him against people so I could unlock all his basic cards and thus design a decent (hopefully!) spider-killing deck. Might buy a new pack too, just to better my odds. . .
Writing was focused mainly on a final polish of Chapter One of "In The Land of the Dead." That will be going up tomorrow, barring complications. It'll feel good to get something for this verse up again -- and I'm thinking that once I get a couple more chapters up, I'll start writing "Remembering You." Forgotten's easily my loudest muse these days, and I need to finish off his backstory!

Date: 2014-07-25 06:06 pm (UTC)I don't think this weekend is a Double (or at least it didn't start today) because I started collecting and it's the normal rate. So poo. Time to redo my math.
The new dragon is the Prism. It's Light + Water and it's 33h 36m and lives in the Rainbow Habitat (makes sense). It's also a limited, which kind of sucks.
By my calculations, with doing the gem Fireflies and maxing out every day the rest of the Event, I'll only be able to get the Twilight Tower if a) this weekend is not a Double at all, then next weekend has to be AND start on Friday or b) this weekend's Double starts tomorrow and next weekend is a Double that starts on either Friday or Saturday.
So I guess we'll see.
And that's about it. I may as well add in the gems and try my best. I'll wait for the afternoon on Saturday just in case. It'll be tough to keep track since I'll be at the barn but I'll figure something out.
Colosseum: Rooty won a Silver. Threw Ray into Fire because Firefly.
DC: 106,357,095 (diminishing because I'm short food Fireflies but I'm also short Habitat Fireflies so I guess it evens out...); G: 533; FF: 235 (hopefully will get to 257)
I'm also rewriting my own DV story with inspiration from the one you wrote for my birthday. Maybe I can get it post worthy at some point. :p

Glowy just won a Gold. I've got Stane in Fire.
DC: 257,215,183; G: 399; FF: 208 (need two from habitats, ten from food, and the twenty from party hats, should bring me up to 240.) I also just hit Level 42.
