crossover_chickSo it seems that after all that firefly gathering, I'm probably going to miss out on the Twilight Tower because -- according to Gigs -- there's an update that chops half a day off the timer and makes it so the Firefly Festival ends Monday at 2 a.m. instead of Monday at noon, like all their previous stuff has ended. This really annoys me because it basically puts the Twilight Tower in the pay content category without actually saying so. At least with the Lost Island they were honest about having to pay for it!
*sigh* I really like the look of the sky in twilight mode too. . .but I've yet to be able to justify spending money on a casual game, especially without a job. (Though hopefully that situation will be in turnaround on Monday.) I suppose this means I'll be getting a fair amount of gems back, at least, though I dunno if it'll fully cover the ones I've spent. . . And I'm really more disgusted with what feels like Backflip being sneaky than anything else. Hmph.
In happier game news, had a win with Andy in Hearthstone -- always seemed to have a counter for the Valeera I was playing with. My own Valeera ended up falling before a Gul'dan, though not before a pretty good number of blows were exchanged. I like games like that, where things get tense and people have to sweat for their wins. Plague Quarter is apparently still a bit iffy -- not touching it until that notice about people not being able to play after purchasing stops coming up. (Before you ask -- not being hypocritical; you can buy the wings with in-game gold and I have the required 700 for the wing.) Ah well, I can amuse myself perfectly fine (and grab some more dosh) with regular ranked matches.
Not much else to report on today -- largely because I ended up sleeping until almost eleven in the morning. ^^; Granted, I did stay up until 2:30, so it was only to be expected, but still. I haven't slept that late in a long time. Ended up having lunch as my first meal of the day and watching Helloween vids, and from there I engaged in a long period of slacking off. Still wrote some on "Remembering You," though. Introducing a new character, June Thatcher -- that replacement Bumby hired. Poor Alice, she has so much to deal with in such a short amount of time. . .
Anyway -- I have RP stuff to attend to, plus a few other things to catch up on -- later all!

Date: 2014-08-03 03:52 pm (UTC)There is an Android achievement for having two Rainbows. I didn't pay real attention to what it said, but I think it's the same as yours. I remember it saying "Double Rainbow" at the very least. I named the second one Skittles (came with Spike) for lack of anything better.
The Electrum came with the name Knox and right now he's in the Hibernation Cave because I was at my Habitat max.
What I did was I broke down and spent an extra 25 gems to get another Giant Plant Habitat and rearranged them so I was able to sell an extra one and then I could get another Treasure. That one's being built so I'll be able to send him home tonight. So now on the Plant/Lightning Island I have 3 Giant and one Large Plant.
The Peridot came with my Earth's name of Fang and I changed it to Olive. She's living on the right side of the Gemstone Island. I want her on the left but I haven't done the last upgrade yet.
I'm less than 40 Fireflies away from the Twilight Tower and naturally the ones I need are from food and Habitats.
DC: 243,571,387; G: 263: FF: 1624. Total today should be 1660...10 more than the Twilight Tower. I wish these last ones would spawn faster, lol.
Edit: Word of warning: Once you get the Twilight Tower it automatically ends the Event even though the countdown in the Social tab is still going. You get the Gloaming Stone for playing. Not sure what I'll call mine yet, if and when I get it. (The pairing for it has Tree and Moss fails. *flashbacks to trying to get a Forest*)
DC: 496,167,476; G: 205: FF: 1411. I have 8 more that I need from habitats, the 40 from party hats, and the 80 from gems. That would put me at 1539, 111 off from the tower. If the festival DOES continue into tomorrow, even without double. . .it would be close, especially since I have someplace I have to be tomorrow, but I MIGHT do it. If I don't, at least I'll get gems back.
Litebrite got Gold, Ent's in Earth, and I just made Level 43.
And yeah, I know about that -- they ended the Magic Egg Event early for people who grabbed all the prizes too. Of course, with me, that won't be an issue, since I'm going to be going right down to the wire, honestly. . . Interesting "thanks for playing" prize, though. Looks pretty cool, even if it isn't really like the Gloaming Gate.
