Getting Background Stuff Done

crossover_chickFilled out the background check form yesterday, got a drug screening tomorrow, things are moving, I am hopeful. :) I really do want all of this to work out and result in a decent job. Keep your fingers crossed people!
Other news of the day:
-->Started some editing on Chapter 4 of "In the Land of the Dead." I'll try to get Chapter 3 up soonish, but I can't make any promises because job hunt stuff comes first. Though the updated Chapter 5 of "Forgetting You" should definitely be up Friday.
-->DragonVale's released a new Seasonal dragon -- the Leaf! Currently trying for that along with the Peridot. They're coming pretty close to 200 dragons here -- I wonder if they'll rerelease the Century dragon once they hit 200?
-->Plague Quarter's woes seem to be over in Hearthstone (though the game itself seemed rather stuttery today), so I gave it a try. First boss is very curious Noth, who has a passive power allowing him to summon a 1/1 Skeleton every time one of your minions dies. I tried him with Thrall and Valeera, but I think my spell-heavy Jaina deck might be the ticket for him. I might also give the Class Challenges a go later. We'll see.
-->Reading some stupid patient/stupid doctor stories on Reddit thanks to a post on tumblr that linked the thread. People can be real idiots sometimes, let me tell you. (Really hoping some of these are fakes.)
Anyway, not much else to say at the moment. I'm going to go read a few more stories, do a few more thread replies, then try to hit the sheets at a decent hour. G'night all!

Date: 2014-08-06 12:36 pm (UTC)I was able to start trying for the Leaf this morning, but Lumen and Siren said "No" and are giving me either a Meadow or a Swamp. Once my EBS is empty I'm gonna throw Tropius and Avon together as well and see what happens. It's available until the 18th.

Date: 2014-08-07 02:06 am (UTC)My Leaf attempters are Flitvine and Diver -- no luck yet, but nice to know we've got a little over a week at least. No luck Peridot-wise either. I'd say that I don't like that they have long fails like Tree and Crystal -- buuut then I remember that the LAST breeding pair had fails like Rainbow and Gold and decide to shut my trap.
