Bonus 10:04 Post
Sep. 8th, 2014 10:04 pmTo make up for all the times I didn't actually make it and had to fake the time. This one's pure 10:04, I promise.
Got some interesting news on the job front -- the Randstad people may have something for me. Temporary, but it's in Providence, and it's something I know I can do. They've expressed my interest for me, and we'll see if I get a call back. Fingers crossed -- I rather desperately need a job. I rather desperately need a lot of things, honestly, but a job tops the list so I have the money to BUY those other things. (Dad's thinking I should get my driver's license already. I half agree with him, half wonder "how am I going to afford a car and gas?" Ugh. Maybe I'll feel better about getting on that if I have some money coming in already. . .)
Fanfic front, worked on "In the Land of the Dead" today -- sharpening a few things, poking at some troublesome paragraphs, that sort of thing. Still planning on this week's update being on "Forgetting You," though. Blu-Ray edition will not be denied!
Games front:
-->DragonVale: Not much happening. Should probably summon in that Tenth Island already. . .think I'll start the process on that tonight. My Orchid did hatch, though -- I named it Vanilla, because according to my short bit of research that's actually part of the orchid family. Who knew?
-->Hearthstone: Double win today! Andy won against a Malfurion with the power of Snarks, and Garrosh got his first non-AI win against a Gul'dan who got in some good early hits but fell to the power of the warsong (aka I FINALLY got a chance to use the 'small attack minions get charge' cards to best effect). Always nice when that happens. :)
-->Spellfall: In the Temple of Earth still, slogging my way through some pretty hard enemies. Learning about the art of chloromancy, which is the manipulation (or coercion, as they're putting it) of plants. I honestly love some of the names they're coming up for this stuff. The game itself is fun, but I'm glad they've put such work into the story too. I'm really enjoying this. (And yes, I did shill it on my tumblr today.)
Speaking of tumblr, I'm in the middle of doing RP replies, so later!

Date: 2014-09-09 01:13 pm (UTC)Anyways. When the Sunstruck hatched I realized I didn't have a place to put him so I bought a small Sun Habitat to stick him in for now.
No Cyclops but Slythe and Terra are making one of the Olympus Dragons. I just won't know which one until I see the egg so I'm hoping it's either a Gold or Silver. I don't want to sacrifice the gems to see. I want to save them for November.
That's about all for now.
Watch this space for Colosseum. Blitzen won a Gold and Neon is in Water.

Date: 2014-09-09 06:49 pm (UTC)Yeah, mine's living in a mini sun habitat too. I've been debating the merits of making the ones on my Opposites Islands bigger, but I dunno. . . *shrug*
Ooooh, cool. :D Fingers crossed it's not one you have! Me, still no luck with Bronze or Amber. Meeeh.
