Holy Crap A QUIET Day

I am more appreciative than you might believe -- I came home today to hear my mom had been hit by a car while cycling with my dad. She's all right -- well, as all right as you can get. They had to go to the hospital, and she's got a broken toe, a shoulder contusion, and a nasty bruise and swelling on her hip. Nothing broken except the toe, fortunately, and she says her shoulder's getting better, but yikes. D: And would you believe that her bike got totaled IN A SEPARATE INCIDENT?! Dad tied it to a pole to keep it safe while he went back home and got the car and all that, and when they got back somebody had backed into it or something and completely wrecked the frame. :( So yeah, not a good day for them. It's creepy to think Mom was in the hospital and I didn't even know about it until later. Doesn't exactly do good things for my creativity.

Not much else to report on -- did what RP replies there were, and managed to catch up with some FF.net messages too. I'm currently going to go have my ice cream, finish up a few things online, and then hit the sheets. Here's hoping my mom's doing okay tomorrow!

Yikes! So glad she's okay!! Did anyone get the info of the douche who hit her?

On a happier note, DV will be doing a "Magic Candy" Halloween event called Whitbee's Candy Bash. There's no info on it yet (but a Nosferatu Dragon looks to be one of the rewards) but I'm assuming it's gonna be like all the other "collect the magic mcguffins" events. I'm going to wait until 12:30 to do anything just in case it starts today.

Edit: It does. I'm still trying to figure out the maxes. I think it's 10 for party hats since that's all I got... Edit x 2: Okay, here's the per day from a kind soul on Facebook:

Party Hats: 10
Hatching: 40
DragonCash: 40
Treats: 40
Clearing: 10
Colosseum: 25 (for Gold and I assume 20 for Silver and 15 for Bronze)
Gems: 40 (1 per gem spent)

I haven't yet figured out if it's possible to get everything without spending real money. I'll do that tomorrow.

Yeah, the police were there and they got a full report, from what I understand. We're hoping the guy's insurance pays for Mom's hospital bill. >(

I got the update tonight -- and ooooh man, it is so awesomely Halloweeny. :D I love the sky, and the music, and Whitbee's castle, and THE FACT THE TWILIGHT TOWER NOW HAS A JACK-O-LANTERN SPOOKY SETTING :D :D :D Good times, good times!

*nods* Yeah, I figured the treats and DragonCash and such would be their usual totals -- and I got a Silver when I did the Colosseum tonight, which resulted in 20 candy, so that's accurate enough. Weird they'd cut down on party hats so much, though! Meeeh. . .And thanks to my job, getting max each day is gonna be hard. Just have to do my best -- I can live without some of the island themes. Just want my new dragons and cool decorations. :D

LOL they're all in costume! I never would've noticed if you hadn't said something because I don't zoom in all that often. :p

I'll come back tonight with the weekly report. I'm trying to get the max out of the treats right now. :/ I wish they'd improve the drop rate.

Yeah, I just happened to do so randomly and went 'OMG THERE'S LITTLE WEREWOLVES' -- is it kind of pathetic, though, that the costumed visitors are more varied than the regular ones? I'd zoom in way more often if we had this kind of variation all the time.

Ah yes, the never-ending quest to tease out more candy from -- well, everything. *patpat*
