Who Wants Dragons Eating Candy Corn?

crossover_chickI do, I do! Yup, DragonVale's having a new "collect this stuff for cool shit" event! And since it's October, it's Halloween-themed -- Whitbee's Candy Bash! And seriously, I love it all so far -- the new "spooky" background for the Vale, the Spooky Island and Whitbee's castle (please please PLEASE let some miniature version of that be the "Thanks For Playing!" Prize), the new dragons you can get, the new music that plays. . .I love Halloween, so this is right up my alley! Though getting max candy every day is gonna be tough, especially with my job. . .at least this time what's up for sale at the top level is stuff I don't mind missing -- island themes. Though it would be nice to get at least one Spooky. Maybe I'd make the Dream/Apocalypse Island that. XD But we'll see what happens!
The one downside to this is it's another thing I have to try and keep up with along with the multitude of other things I'm currently failing to keep up with. I'm so glad I get Monday off -- hooray for holidays! Much catching up will be done (for real this time), and I plan to marathon Helloween one of these days. The dude's putting out new sets like the freaking Flash! @_@ Plus I have to come up with ideas for the Inkwell Halloween party, plus the two upcoming birthdays--

Sparky is in Lightning. It's been pushed to almost 9:30 at night. :/
Autumn came with the name Tropic and I couldn't think of anything better so I kept it. I also nabbed a Ragnarok and it's scheduled to hatch tomorrow.
I figured out that if there's at least two double weekends and one gets the max candy a day, then it's possible to get all the rewards without spending real money. The problem would be the drop rates especially for the damn DragonCash. I'm still missing 12.
Speaking of, I broke down and spent gems (and I wish I'd waited til this event but oh well) for Giant Habitats for my Earth/Cold Island because 10 was just too many. If I wind up not having enough for November, then I'll just have to sneak in some playtime on vacation, that's all. *shrug*
I'm trying for the Bone right now. It shares breed time with the Lava and that's all I've gotten so far. Since gems can be used to get candy I only want to use them up to the 40. I have both sets of my Fire and Earth dragons trying. They both gave me an 8hr time so we'll see.
Kairos can help tomorrow but since I'll be at Comic Con and the Javits Center is a tomb when it comes to internet I don't think tomorrow's gonna be very productive.
I think that's about it.

Congrats on the Ragnarok! :D I'm still trying for both that and the Mirror. No luck yet, but at least they're an easy source of eggs to sell. And hey, if I get a Bone from my Ragnarok pair, well, no worries. I need a Bonejangles for my park anyway. XD
Ahhh, I see. Well, the island themes I can probably live without, though it would be cool to have. . .we'll just have to see. Me having such a long time without wi-fi access most days is gonna hinder my gathering quite a lot, sadly. And yeah, I hear you on drop rate issues. It's always those last two that never seem to want to cooperate. . . *patpat*
I have no idea what I'd spend gems on at this point. I guess speeding up some breeding attempts. We'll see. Here's hoping you still have enough when November rolls around!
