One Month Anniversary At Work

And I end up marking it by learning that if I want any of the bad scans corrected, I may have to hunt down the bad files myself (they've only got one full-time scanner down there right now!), then enduring the bus ride from hell (traffic backed up for miles on 95 South, a five-car accident closer to home (yikes) also causing slowdowns, and a new driver who nearly missed one of our stops), and then getting my period. As you might imagine, I'm not exactly in the best mood right now. I'm taking the night off RP (not that I've missed much right at the moment, thankfully) and instead working on catching up on a few things. Fortunately, said things include much in the way of funny/amusing videos, so that's nice at least.

I also have a bit of good news on the game front:

-->Spellfall: Eric beat the Temple of Cold boss! Granted, having the right sword for that helped immensely, but it's still quite satisfying. He still needs to rebeat Lord Treyfik and Magmor the dragon, but we're working on that. And I can continue on with the story while doing said work!

-->DragonVale: I'm getting the Ragnarok! I got the right breed time this evening! w0000 :D I'll have to buy an Apocalypse habitat and get it set up for him once his egg hits the nursery. It's also a Double Candy weekend, and they've actually gone the extra mile and made the candy look a little different for same. It's a cute little touch. Now if only the damned drop rate would improve. . .

So yeah, that saves this Friday from going totally down the crapper. Now I'm off to see if I can catch up on one of my Twitters, then maybe allow myself some time on TV Tropes.

Now it ends at 12:30 because yesterday I waited until then to do any collecting in anticipation of a Double Weekend.

I fina-fucking-ly got my Silver Olympus!! It came with my Flower's name of Jabber so I named it Nickel after the substance that makes me unable to wear silver earrings. :p

I also got the Ghost, which came with the name Icy. I renamed him Casper because I'm a dork. ^^

So now I have every available dragon. Ten to go according to the Dragonarium. :D Well, until they add more that is. So I've been breeding Luminous and Meadows for money.

The drop rate for treats and cash is ridiculous. I missed out on some candy because of it. By my calculations I should still get all the rewards before the Event is over (if the last weekend is a Double) and I can max out the rest of the days.

I have this feeling I'm gonna be out of gems by November since I've been using them for candy. Since the Event ends on the 3rd, I'll have like a week to build them up a little more before vacation. I may have to sneak in some play time like when I go into the bathroom or something, lol.

So using the gems I upgraded my Shrines to Silver and I'll be doing the same to get them to Gold. May as well if it helps get the two Nosferatu dragons. I don't care too much about the themes since I'm not going to use them. *shrug*

DC: 883,094,780: G: 239. I've been turning in my candy so I don't have a count. But I have 4,224,000 food because of the goal rewards for the Shrine upgrades, lol.

Hm...I think that's it. The channel formerly known as The Hub (it's Discovery Family now) aired the new MLP:FiM movie on Friday and I recorded it for Antoinette since the Blu Ray doesn't come out until the end of the month. She's on her second viewing since I started writing this post, lol. Unfortunately, this movie has a sequel-hook stinger and they cut off the credits before it comes on. :/

Noticing a theme? :P I'm trying to use "spooky" dragons because of the event. Just very happy to have such a good streak with the candy-getting.

Congrats on your Silver Olympus and Ghost! :D *snorks at the names* Then again, I'm not much better -- once I get my Ghost, I'm going to be naming it Egon. XD And I'm seriously considering calling the Ragnarok Hiccup. Also, nice job on getting all the available dragons! I'm going to have to work extra-hard to catch up to you. . .

Yeah, it's damn near impossible for me to max most days -- though that's probably partially to blame on me being away from wifi most weekdays. I did manage to max out today, though, and I'm within a hairsbreadth of getting the Dark theme so I can work on getting the Nosferatu dragons. I'm also up to Level 50, which makes the 11th island available to me -- though I doubt I'll be able to afford it in time to do any clearing for the event. Hmph.

I'm limiting full gem spending to double weekends like this -- I simply can't afford it otherwise. I'm doing things like upgrading the last of my shrines and getting the cheaper of the egg pedestals that I want. Like you, I care less about the themes and more about the Nosferatu dragons -- though I'll be using that Dark theme on one of my epics Islands. Specifically the Dream and Apocalypse one, since it feels appropriate. If I ever buy any themes, I'll get a Metal one for the Olympus & Treasure island. Dunno what I'd use for Opposites or the 11th, though. *shrug* I've already put the free plant theme on the Seasonal & Rainbow island. I think they make the epic ones a little more special.

LOL -- I'm sure you'll find a moment or two for your precious dragons. ;)

Awww, how cute. Though sucks about losing the stinger. I guess you'll just have to wait for the Blu-Ray for that.
