Gotta Get Down on Friiiiday

crossover_chickThough today proved to be a long, rather boring Friday bookended by moments of severe irritation. To whit:
-->Ended up getting a late start on my actual work because my work computer was acting up -- first running really slow, then, when I restarted to fix that, just up and freezing. Fortunately it behaved itself after the second restart, but seriously. . .
-->Not a lot of people in the office today, and those that were there took a long lunch out in the middle of the day and left early. Spent a lot of time alone in there. Which I don't really mind, but it does highlight the more boring parts of the job. *shrug* Got 550 records in, though, so life is good I suppose.
-->Things REALLY came close to going to hell when it came time to come home, though. I headed out at 4:30 and hit my bus stop. It's not a major stop, but it's pretty visible -- has a little shelter, fair amount of people most days. And a number of different buses stop there, including four different expresses and the R-Line (which I believe is for going through Providence). Sometimes, two buses come up at the same time, and usually what happens is that one stops behind the other, so people can get on whichever one they need. So today, when I saw the 65 coming up behind the R-Line South, I figured that's what would happen.
Nope. THE BUS JUST KEPT ON GOING. And this is AFTER me heading around the R-Line and waving! Fortunately me and a few other people at the stop yelling got the guy's attention, and he stopped a little ways up the road (with me running like hell after it), so I didn't miss the bus -- but fucking hell, that pissed me off! Every other bus driver at least slows down and LOOKS! *grumbles* So glad I only work two days next week. . .
Not much else to report -- finishing up Christmas fic, doing catch-up things, and watching Linkara finish up "The Hobbit." Hearing him rant about his problems with the book (and subsequently the comic adaptation) is quite amusing. :) Also keeping up on iceberry collection -- I dunno if I'll get enough for every prize, but so long as I get both Snowflakes, I'll be happy enough. Bought a few new decorations too -- they had Light and Dark remnants for sale, so I grabbed those and added them to the Opposites Island. :) Still working on this new "seasonal" theme I've got going here. . .
Right now, though, I REALLY need to catch up on my tumblrs and set up queues for tomorrow. I'm useless on Fridays when it comes to RP, I swear. . . Anyway, g'night!
