Christmas Fic Time!

You Spin Me Right Round
“Wheeee! Watch me spin, watch me spin, watch me – oooof!”
“Oh dear – are you all right?”
“Super-duper! Which isn’t as good as super-looper-duper, but I did just fall over.”
“Heh, yes, I saw. Looks like you were going for a Beillhorse spin.”
“Uh – sure? I just wanted to see if I could go up on one leg, so I figured if I grabbed all the other ones. . . .”
“Well, that's a pretty tricky spin even for an advanced skater. Why don't you start with maybe two legs? Here, let me show you. Back up a little, if you would. . . .”
“Oooooh – you can go way fast! I wanna try! How'd you do it again?”
“Hehe – just watch me. See, you always make sure you have two opposite hooves on the ice for balance. . .then slowly lift this leg up, then the other. . .exactly! You're a fast learner.”
“Hey Pinkie Pie! How are you doing on – the. . .”
“Rainbow Dash! Come on and skate with us! We’re learning all about spinning! Which I thought I knew a lot about but I really don't! It's so cool! And not just because it's winter!”
“Yeah. . .is that really – is that really Evpony Plushenko??”
“I dunno, is it?”
“That’s me, yes. Heh – you can pick your jaw up off the floor now.”
Ponies and skating! I wanted to do something regarding your new love for Plushy, and this just popped into my head after seeing your Pinkie theme again while leaving a comment. I did a little quick research on skating spins to make sure it was semi-accurate (since, you know, still about ponies and all). Beillhorse is a pun on Beillmann, who is the skater who named the spin in our world. :P
Let’s See How Far We’ve Come
“Remember when we first came here?”
Victor chuckled softly. “How could I forget? I still dream about it sometimes.” He waved his hand through the air. “The way the world suddenly broke apart around me, the familiar vanishing into a glowing multicolored void. . .the feeling of tumbling wildly while somehow standing perfectly still. . .and then landing on soft green grass with men in robes all around me, someone shouting for a healer while I did my best not to vomit. . . .” He grinned slyly at her. “And then a scream as poor Chancellor Julius found himself with a knife to his neck, courtesy of another new arrival.”
“One can’t blame me for being frightened,” Alice replied, though she blushed in embarrassment. “I was beyond disoriented – even with all those drops down the rabbit hole to prepare me. I did apologize to the Chancellor.”
“After someone restrained you with a vine.”
“Yes, well, I can’t blame them for being frightened either.” Alice leaned on her hand. “Those first two or three days were no fun at all, I have to say. Learning I was now the permanent guest of a floating continent in the sky was – disconcerting, to say the least.”
“The very least,” Victor agreed. “And then Chancellor Julius suggested we raise dragons – all I could think was ‘Seriously? You want to trust me with dragons?’”
Alice laughed. “Oh yes – I considered it the maddest idea anyone had ever offered up to me.”
Victor took her arm and gestured to the hovering archipelago before them, filled from edge to edge with dragons of all shapes, sizes, and colors. “Do you still think that?”
“Well, yes,” Alice said, before kissing his cheek. “But just because it’s mad doesn’t mean it’s not wonderful.”
Victor/Alice DragonVale fic! Since you seem to get a kick out of that. XD This is kind of based on my own experience playing the game over a year -- around January 1st, I started off with this one tiny island and a scant handful of dragons. . .and now I've got eleven and almost 200 dragons. My how things change. Mad but wonderful, as Alice says. :) Anyway, hope you enjoy!
I Can't Blame Him For Not Betting On Me
“So – it actually happened.”
“Yup,” Clark replied as he and Jack lounged on the couch together. “It did.”
“She actually finally got them married.”
“Mr. and Mrs. Van Dort,” Clark nodded. “Or Mr. and Mrs. Brown, depending on which universe you're in.”
“Yeah. Official license and everything.”
“Even a party in the Nexus.”
“Dunno if I'd call a few sandwiches and a cake a party.”
“Your definition of 'party' includes at least five people sleeping together.”
“It ain't really fun until it's an orgy,” Jack replied with a rakish grin. “Though I guess Victor and Alice wouldn't really appreciate that. Even if they are on good terms with Captain John.”
“Mmmm. Still, they announced it pretty loudly to the world. You can't deny that.”
“No, even I'll say lugging a cake into the Nexus oughta scream 'I'm married!' to everyone around you.”
“Right. Which means you owe me five dollars. American currency.”
“Well, can you blame me for not seriously thinking Vic would get her act together before the end of the year?”
“I wouldn't, except you've got a time machine on your wrist.”
“You're one to talk, Mr. Fly-Around-The-Earth-So-Fast-Time-Goes-Backward.”
“That wasn't me and you know it.”
RP shenanigans are a good go-to with you, and I'm not above a little self-deprecating humor. XD But I did get it done before Christmas, like I said! Anyway, I just thought this would be funny. Hope you do too! XD
As for my own haul -- well, the big gift was Lenny, so I was honestly surprised to find a couple things under the tree and in my stocking this year. Turns out Mom and Dad didn't think I should be deprived of my standard goodies -- a couple new packs of gum, pack of breath mints, a box of Ferro Rocher, a new calendar (cupcake-themed!), and a few pairs of new soft socks (I particularly like the polka-dotted ones XD). I also got the new Hallmark BTTF ornament (light-up flying DeLorean) and ReAction's Marty McFly figurine from my aunt and uncle. So that was nice. :) And I've still got a gift from my other aunt coming up tomorrow, along with whatever b-day presents I get.
For now, though, gotta finish off posting the fic for the tumblr peeps. Later all!

And now I feel doubly bad that I haven't done anything for you! I've had a brain wave though so expect something soon! :OD
