First Day of the New Year Was Portal Day

As I use January 1st for Steve & Gary's birthdays. Came up with their present just this morning, incidentally -- Helloween's LPs of both "No More Heroes" and "No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle" makes me think it would be right up their alley. XD I also played a few challenge rooms in Portal 2 centered around the turrets in their honor. Took me a bit to figure out some puzzles, since I haven't played this game in a while. Most embarrassing is how long it took me to figure out in one room that the laser could GO THROUGH GLASS. I'm just so used to glass windows stopping anything and everything! XD Ah, video game logic. . .

Not much else to report on -- I caught up with NMH2 and Nostalgia Critic; I'm on track for wrapping up "In the Land of the Dead" tomorrow; I hatched my Leap Year (Oz) and maxed out my iceberries in DragonVale (excepting the Colosseum, which will be ending in a few); I recaptured all the areas in Spellfall. Oh, and I caught up with all my owed replies, which was nice. Hooray for not having that hanging over my head! :) And I finally had that hot chocolate packet someone in the office gave me for Christmas. Apparently it was best if used before February. 2017. XD

Anyway, I'm gonna head back to my hanging out now :p Hope everyone's year has started off well!

In other news...I hope to have some semblance of a giftfic for you by the end of the weekend. I did start writing it last night but Antoinette wouldn't let me get very far. Ah, the joys of having a 4 year old. :p

She still has a fever but it's low-grade now. And she only slightly fought me in trying to take her medicine instead of an out and out tantrum. :p

I'll admit that I've been distracted with the new Pokemon game and attempting to rebuild my website in a new web editor that sadly isn't FrontPage but is similar...kind of (nothing will ever match up to my old Microsoft FrontPage but it isn't compatible with anything after XP and my laptop has Vista). And then you finished "In the Land of the Dead" (OMG what Lizzie did!! I mean he deserved it but omg!) so I think that'll give me the "GO WRITE, WOMAN!!" push I need, lol.

Well, that's good. Both her getting better and not putting up a fuss about medicine. :P

Yeah, you mentioned that -- doesn't it suck when something old you love never gets updated to be compatible with newer stuff? *patpat* And don't feel too bad about getting distracted -- look at me, I pretty much wasted today with MLP fanfic and TV Tropes. :P Though I guess I'm glad I was able to light a fire under you with that last chapter! (And yes, I know, yeeps, but I had to give him an appropriately-gruesome punishment. Well, two, if you count the ruin monster dragging him to Hell.)

Truth be told, I was kind of hoping for a sort of epilogue where Lizzie gets to see Alice again or at least know she and Victor are okay.

Actually, she IS going to see Alice again -- part of the plot for "Fixing You" involves Victor and Alice heading below so Alice can finally get some proper closure with her family. It's just gonna be a little farther on.

Yeah, it wasn't until I got the "answered a comment" e-mail that I realized it had to just be how that theme was displaying the comment. And LOL -- well, hooray, I suppose. :) Glad it still gives you joy. *tentacles hug back*
