It's a slow process -- I don't feel nearly as congested today as I did yesterday, but I've had some nasty coughing fits, and I still need to blow my nose a fair bit, so. . .and my voice still sounds like I'm dying. Bleeh. At least I have a three-day weekend coming up to recuperate over.

Very quiet on the tumblr RP scene, though a friend of mine made adorable Forgotten Vows and Newly Riche (her muse) fanart. :D These two are so fun together, seriously. *hugs them both* I've gotten my queues all settled, and I just need to catch up with a couple of DW tags before bed. Work also continues apace on "Remembering You" -- first drafts can be rough, but the basic set pieces are coming together nicely, at least. And I always have other projects in this universe I can turn to if I need a break.

Still working on Dark Rift in DragonVale, but not having much luck. Might have to do some serious gem-spending this weekend if I want to get it in time. Would be so nice to just score that and have all of those settled before the weekend's over. . . Send dragony thoughts my way, folks!

And with that, time for quick-replying to a few things and hitting the sheets, because a good night's sleep (aided and abetted by Nyquil) does seem to help. At the very least, it means I get up in the morning not feeling half-dead.

We've all been sick lately. Mom and Ed still have the cough and Ed's brother's sick, too (he must've caught it when they were staying over our house when their furnace broke). I hope you feel better soon. *hug*

So I'm not gonna bother with the Colosseum anymore. I'm using all the same dragons so the results are mostly the same. I haven't been keeping track anyway. Last time I did a proper update was like around New Year's.

On the "GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL!!!!!" front, I'm 205/209; all I have left are the other two Snowflakes (and Dendrite and Kristoff seem to favor duplicating themselves on that front), the Aurora (I got Petal the Swamp and Ray the Firefly failing on that) and the Dark Rift (it ALWAYS winds up being the Light Rift, damn you Borogoves and Veil!).

I kept the pregenerated names for both the Apocalypse and Century and they are Fenris and Meeker, respectively.

I used all my gems trying to get those two so I have almost none left. As for DC...I used it all up making lots of treats because I was like "Eh, I'm not gonna be getting the last Island anytime soon and I may as well make a lot of food while I can". Although when I do get that last Island, then I'll start decorating properly. Maybe. *lazy*

I'm level 59, halfway to level 60 give or take.

DC: 108,607,041; G: 1 (waahh!!) Also, it's Appreciate a Dragon Day. :p

In other news, I was rereading "In the Land of the Dead" just because and I found two typos that I missed the first time (maybe I glossed over them in my excitement, lol).

This first one is in Chapter Two:
Yet she'd spent their entire visit just waiting for the moment when they leapt, fighting down the urge to scream at them to get out of her house.

I'm pretty sure you meant "left" unless you mean that she's thinking they're gonna leap up and attack her. Poor kid.

This other one is in Chapter Seven:
I found that doll especially for her – waistcot and all.

Just a spelling blooper.

In other, other news, I found a website that I could stream Corpse Bride on my phone, so I watched it again. What I didn't realize the first time I watched it was that there's actually some Doctor Who alum in the cast. :D If you're not interested who, you may stop reading now, otherwise, here's the details because as a Whovian it's interesting to me.

Joanna Lumley (Lady Everglot) appeared in a charity sketch in 1999 playing (ugh...) the "final" incarnation of the Doctor (it was a comedy piece...I tend to forget it exists even though I stole one line from it).

Richard E. Grant (Barkis) appeared as an incarnation of the Doctor in that same 1999 sketch; he was also the "unofficial" Ninth Doctor in a Big Finish audio story and he played villain Dr. Simeon/The Great Intelligence in 3 of Matt Smith's episodes.

Michael Gough (Elder Gutknecht) was in two stories, both as villains. He was The Celestial Toymaker in 1966 in the story of the same name (so First Doctor) and Gallifreyan Councillor Hedin (who started off as the Doctor's friend) in Five's episode "Arc of Infinity". And duh me, he was also Alfred in Batman. :p

Deep Roy (General Bonesapart) played a homicidal "dummy" named Mr. Sin in the classic Fourth Doctor episode "The Talons of Weng Chiang" and he was also an extra (without the heavy makeup) in that episode as well.

Ah, okay. I guess my brain wasn't getting the context. My thoughts I guess were she was just waiting until they left the house. Again, poor kid.

Joanna Lumley also played the Tiger Lily in the 1999 Hallmark Entertainment Alice in Wonderland you stole borrowed Sir Christopher from. :)
