Getting Worried About This Upcoming Week

We're under a blizzard warning. The shit's not supposed to hit the fan until tomorrow night sometime, but according to the current reports, it may be a lot of shit. High levels of accumulation, strong winds, anticipated power outages. . . Mom's employer (I think) said something along the lines of "worse than the Blizzard of 78" -- and the Blizzard of 78 is THE blizzard in RI history. That basically shut down the state. People died. As you might imagine, this is making me anxious.

Also making me anxious -- Dad told me earlier we're expecting MORE snow on Friday. The end of January is looking like a total pile of shit. >.<

Not as productive today as I'd like -- watching the Nostalgia Critic take on The Matrix and The Animatrix (I am totally aping him in calling Neo "Tom" from now on) led me to TV Tropes, and you know what happens there. So no American McGee's Alice today. I'm also behind on writing, but I can make that up right now -- and I got the most important thing on the list, Mom's Christmas present, done, so that's nice. :) Also got my Rainbow/Seasonal island looking less of a mess, so that's good too. Hopefully I can show you some pictures on Wednesday, but we'll see. If this storm's as bad as they say it's gonna be, losing net is almost certain.

Well, we're not in that stage yet, so I'm gonna do a little writing, catch up on the last of my stuff, and then hit the sheets. G'night all, and if you're in the Northeast with me, buckle up -- could be a bumpy ride.

I don't foresee us going to work on Tuesday. We may come home early tomorrow even. We're expected 12" to 24" unless it stalls, then we may get more.

It sucks that I have the new car but the weather isn't making me want to drive it. :/

Be safe. I'm sure AL and the guys will be hiding at the Inkwell until Spring, lol.

I dunno how much we might get, but my Mom just left for her job now, since it's starting to get truly crappy. She'll be staying through tomorrow to help take care of her lady. Me, I left work early (the place was closing at 1:30, but apparently Wakefield was starting to get bad before then, so I ended up catching the 11:33 bus home), and we're closed tomorrow. We'll see about the rest of the week.

Yeah, really. It's a nice car too. Damn weather.
