Oh The Weather Outside is Frightful

crossover_chickThe wind's starting to howl out there. Then again, we're in the beginning stages of blizzard conditions here. Not sure how the snow's coming down, but it's looking pretty white and cold out. I dun like it. :( Sources vary about how much snow we're going to get, but 18 inches seems to be a common number, either as a low or a high. So I think that's a decent estimate. Work closed early because of the predicted severity, but I ended up leaving even earlier than that because it started snowing sooner than I expected, and with one of the less-pleasant commutes (one of the farthest away AND I take the bus), I felt it prudent to get while the getting was still good. Was only there from 8:30 to 11 AM (well, a little after, but that was just to quickly eat my sandwich). And I'm not going in tomorrow at all because we're closed. After that is a let's-see situation. I'm very glad of it -- getting to the bus stop today was torture. It was so cold in Providence that even with gloves my fingers were screaming in pain. :( Fortunately they warmed up quick while on the bus.
Been spending my time off productively, at least a little. Got more written on "Remembering You" -- a fluffy/funny scene that I've been looking forward to. :) I also contributed to Linkara's IndieGoGo campaign for the AT4W Movie, since I've been meaning to and it's the last week to do so -- chose the "get a signed DVD" Back-Issue Level as my perk. Also did RP replies and played more American McGee's Alice -- got through the asylum stage and I'm about halfway through Hatter's Domain Mk 1 (right before you encounter Dormy and March). Finally getting my feet under me again with the controls, though battling the robots is still rather a pain the ass. How do people play this on Nightmare Mode. . .
Also, FINALLY GETTING THE AURORA. After a false alarm with my main breeders (which is probably another Rainbow), I hit the jackpot with my secondary pair, Solder and Bubbles. w000. It'll live on the Winter Wonderland island, along with my Winter dragons. Been spending a lot of time getting some of these islands in order. It's a difficult job, especially since you never know when Backflip will release a new dragon, but I like making my park look more like a bunch of habitats scattered around willy-nilly. Besides, I'm bottlenecked in Spellfall+ -- a three-levels-above-me Silver enemy I'm not sure I can beat is blocking my progress. Been batting older ones for experience and money so I can try again later. It's tough when all of your battles rely at least a little on luck of the draw (or falling symbols, as the case may be.)
Anyway, should probably get back to the "answering replies" business. Need to make the most of whatever internet time I might have. G'night, and stay safe fellow storm-weatherers!
