And it's supposed to be the coldest day of the freaking week.

At least I got some amusing starters out of it for my Victors on tumblr.

Just finished up with catching up with as much as I could on everything. Which never includes as much "everything" as I'd like, or as much catching up.

I seriously wish I had the power to wind back time just one hour or something. With everything I did staying done. Hell, even if I just napped that hour I'd still come out ahead.

Speaking of napping, I need to get to bed. G'night all.

OMG I don't know if you've seen it yet but if you go onto Channel Awesome's YouTube account they have a Shut Up and Talk with Doug interviewing the man, the myth, the legend...Tommy Wiseau. I watched it while I was on the elliptical and Doug's facial expressions are hilarious. Worth checking out, imo. :)

Hm...not a lot happening in the DV-world. Naturally since today should start the final Double Weekend I'm waiting until this afternoon to collect anything (except the 20 I got from friends as that doesn't change if you wait, sadly). Though I did have to sell some eggs to make room for more, but Kairos will help speed those along this afternoon so I can max there.

Speaking of maxing, a couple days the Habitats were kind to me and gave me all 40 in one go. No idea why, but, hey, not questioning it, lol. Even the treat farms gave me between 32 and 36 before crapping out. Edit: Of course today is the day it wants me to grind... *sigh*

I should be getting the final reward on Saturday. Then hopefully they'll give us a break with the damn events for a while (though somehow I doubt it...). :/

Nothing much else, I guess. Just pedestal making (89/216) and dust collecting.

We're going to see Avengers: Age of Ultron tonight. I'm gonna paint the Avengers logo on Shada tomorrow. :p

Even if I catch up on something I always feel like I never got enough done or caught up at the expense of getting behind on something else. It doesn't help that I'm kind of scatterminded and tend to start on projects and have them branch off into tangent projects and then I find I've got about 50 things going at once...

I found a free website that I'm actually hoping will help. It's a free online version of a thing called a kanban board that basically lets me make 'to do' cards and sort them by a category or in my case by how critical they are, and move em around as needed. (example: This is done (which I leave up a while before deleting old cards so I get a feeling of accomplishment seeing that I actually DID do something), this is what I'm doing now, these are the very next things I want to do, the next three columns are other things I want to do that are sorted by priority)

Right now, the column for stuff I'm doing 'now' is limited to two items (not counting little daily repeaters like the reminder to brush my teeth or take my vitamins), and the Next column is limited to three... and the rest of the columns are color coded by how important it is to get to them. And if I get an idea in the middle of something, I add it to the board instead of dropping what I'm in the middle of and starting it right away.

It seems to be working, so far... I have the page tabbed in Firefox so I can keep referencing it. It also helps for those moments I have when I got distracted by a shiny and completely forgot what I was doing... just check the cards. XD

If you want to check it out, it's here:

Heh, in this case, crossing stuff off is done by moving it to the 'done' category. But I get what you mean, though it's backwards for me - I tend to misplace or lose written lists. You're welcome! :)

One of my columns is nothing but all the TV shows I watch online, so I can drag the cards for them over to the stuff to do area when there's a new ep available... and then drag em back to 'done' after. XD And I have a card reminding me to take my vitamins every day that I just move back and forth so I know if I did. It doesn't have to be big projects. :)

But then half of my not-finding-time issues seem to have been scattermindedness, a lack of organizational skills, and tendency to go off on tangents. (I wonder if any of that can be caused by head trauma. I had a few nasty concussions in Middle School.)

But, anyhow, it seems to be being a big help for me, so I thought I'd share. Everyone's different tho (world would be very boring if not).
