Very Nice Mall Day

-->Woke up a little before my alarm, ended up getting up with enough time to have an apple for breakfast, catch up on tumblr, and get some writing done on Chapter 10 of "Forgetting You"
-->Caught the bus (though I nearly got on the wrong one before looking at the sign more carefully) and headed into Providence. Nice sunny day, so that was good.
-->Hit Newbury's, but didn't see anything I particularly wanted to buy. *shrug*
-->Went to Subway, got an Oven-Roasted Chicken Breast sub and a soda since I had a coupon. I'm pretty sure the girl serving me was new, because first she couldn't figure out how to get the coupon on, and then she ended up giving me the wrong change (three dollars instead of five). We got it straightened out, though -- and she's the first employee there to ever ask me how much ice I wanted in my drink instead of just giving me a huge cupful of the stuff, so that earned her some brownie points.
-->Went to Dave & Buster's, recharged my card, discovered my coupon could only be applied at the front desk so I went there to get it put on. Then it was wandering around playing my favorites (e.g., Fruit Ninja, Guitar Hero) and trying some new stuff (e.g. Jurassic Park shooter -- which claims that you tranquilize the dinos attacking you, but when you have a power-up that allows you to freeze and shatter them, I tend to have my doubts). They've updated all their games with a new cardreader, incidentally, because now they have a e-ticket scheme going on -- instead of collecting paper tickets, you can have them put right onto your card. I approve of this plan, especially since the reader has a light around it that flashes rainbow colors when you get the tickets. XD
-->Ended the trip with a stop by Dairy Queen for a Brownie Cookie Dough Blizzard, om nom nom. Really good, and nice to eat on the way back to the bus.
-->Read some of my Annotated Alice on the way up and back -- I've been on kind of an Alice kick lately, and it's a damn interesting book. Nice to have some of the less-immediately-understandable stuff explained.
-->Got off the bus early and took the long way around back home to get in a walk, since it was such a nice day.
-->Got home, did some more writing on Chapter 10 -- basically finishing off all the major changes I wanted to make; I still need to do final clean-up -- then played some A:MR. Which introduced the one upsetting part of my day -- the darn game crashed twice in a row when I tried to do the first Radula Room in Chapter 3. Or, well, it crashed right after I completed it but before it saved. This isn't like the problem I had before -- the computer just shut off those times; this I'm getting a proper error message for -- but it's still frustrating. I'm gonna try again tomorrow and see if it was just a one-day glitch. Since it saves right before each room too, it's not like I've lost a ton of progress. Keep your fingers crossed!
-->After that, it was catching up on webcomics, having dinner, catching up on tags and doing queues, updating Forgotten Vow's tumblr relationships page (been meaning to), and now -- well, here. :P
So yeah, very nice and productive day, I must say. The only dark spot was the Alice thing, and I'm really hoping that's not going to be a huge issue. I really like how it plays on this computer -- you would not BELIEVE the shit falling from the sky in the Vale of Doom when you've got proper graphics on. XD We'll see tomorrow, I suppose. . . Right now, I'm gonna finish catching up on my personal tumblr, then head to bed. Night all!

Date: 2015-05-15 01:51 pm (UTC)So I got another twin. A Scorch named Crimson. I also managed to breed a Polarian and he came with the name Buzz. I've been trying for an Antarian since but no luck so far.
Other than that, I think that's it. Still saving to get both the Eleventh and Twelfth Islands at the same time. I only need like 1 billion more, haha.

Date: 2015-05-16 03:35 am (UTC)I've gotten a Gold Olympus and a Spring -- turned them both into pedestals -- and now I'm getting another Olympiad. Absolutely no luck on the galaxy front... I thought you had a Polarian? O.o
I really ought to do some island beautifying this weekend. I've been meaning to put a Fire habitat on my Winter Wonderland Island for my Coal for a while now.
