Less-Stress Friday

Though it didn't look like it for a moment -- day started off as "hit the ground running" so I could catch up on the work I missed fixing my mistake from before and finally get all the files I needed to get out out. . .and then my paycheck arrived and proved to be for the wrong amount. Which left me pretty well seething a good portion of the day. Fortunately, by the time we left (early, hooray), I'd managed to get everything done, and the whole paycheck situation was settled, w000. (Turns out they'd tried to add some hours to my check, which wiped out my full-week's pay, and it's just a complicated mess. But I'm getting two paychecks next week, soo. . .) Ride home was nice and quiet too, and I had a good walk from the last stop to my house. That was relaxing (for the most part -- did have to deal with adjusting the back straps of my sandals so they'd stop half-falling-off).
Working on statting up Victor and Alice for my CtL AU idea. I think I've got a good build for Alice, but Victor's proving a bit trickier. Should I go for higher Dexterity or Stamina for him? And where should his mental dots go? Decisions, decisions. . .not to mention this is all them as MORTALS, I've still got to figure out the Changeling template. . . Well, it'll help keep me busy for a little while.
The Great Dragon Faire is in full swing, and I've discovered something interesting about it -- there's a cap to how many tickets you can earn per day. Normally this is determined by how many of any collectible any one activity can earn, but here they're just going with hard "this is how many tickets you can get in one go" caps: 500 for regular days, 1000 for double weekends. I was slightly miffed when I first ran into this, but now I think it's actually a good thing. Means I don't have to be COMPLETELY tethered to the game! No grinding treats or spending gems if I don't want to -- I have an exact number per day to shoot for, and a variety of ways to get to it. Works for me! Also works for me -- the wishing well giving out occasional free gems. I got five for tossing in a coin today. Yes please. :D
Not much else happening. Editing Chapter 16 -- just tweaks here and there so far. Did DW stuff, and now I'm doing tumblr queue. Which I really ought to get back to already. . .night all!
