Mostly Quiet Saturday

crossover_chickTumblr's been really quiet all day, and it was much the same with DW until a little while ago. I suppose I can't complain -- gives me plenty of time to unwind after these last few stressful days. Spent most of the day catching up on my Helloween videos -- which was easier than expected, because his internet is out AGAIN. Poor guy is apparently tethered to one of the shittiest ISPs out there, judging by how often he's had to suspend his current LPs because of internet issues. He's trying to fill the gap by doing small Game Boy Game vids when his upload speed semi-cooperates -- we appreciate it, Hells! And we'd help you switch to a new provider if we could. Also watched an episode of Channel Awesome's game show, which -- had funny moments, but often felt pretty forced in its humor. Dunno if I'd try it again.
I also edited more of Chapter 16 of "Forgetting You" -- finished up what currently stands as the end of the chapter, where Victoria reveals that Victor's "delusions" actually happened. I'm gonna see about stitching that together with the Cardbridge stuff tomorrow. While the chapter as-is probably could stand on its own, it's still pretty short compared to the ones around it now. Besides, I didn't split up any of the other London segments from their associated mini-domains, so why start now? Amusingly, this means that while the story may lose a chapter, it's probably going to be longer overall -- most of these chapters have swelled at least a little in size as I edit. Probably because the characters are DOING more now. . . Ugh, why was I so addicted to large chunks of "oh and this happened but I'm just gonna describe it instead of actually letting you see. . ."
Also been poking Changeling stuff with a stick while I work on stats and stuff for funzies. I'm still trying to puzzle out whether stamina or dexterity is better for Victor. . .I want to say dexterity, for his incredible climbing feat while escaping Emily, but stamina seems a good choice too, given how he stays on his feet throughout the movie without sleep or food. . . And where should his mental points go to best represent him? Decisions, decisions. . . Alice's stats I'm comfortable with, but I've still got to figure out her skills. And I've been wondering about her mein too. Specifically, if her Hysteria mode would actually be a good Changeling look for her. She's supposed to be a weird mix of two types of Changeling, with the Fairest Seeming but an Ogre Kith, Bloodbrute (reason being she was the victim of TWO Keepers -- the Dollmaker, who wanted a perfect doll, and the Red Queen of Hearts, who wanted a vicious warrior). My idea has always been for her Wonderland look to be her Changeling look (with the Vorpal Blade as a token), but there's a certain appeal for her inner Ogre nature to be literally bleeding through. . . Hmmm. I'll think about it. And ask tumblr what they think too.
