crossover_chick: a vampire version of Alice Liddell and a human Victor Van Dort kissing (SIMS: Vamp!Alice and Victor Smooches)

Well, sort of anyway. Tonight's poke back into the game was to test out some mods and custom content I downloaded recently. So far, everything seems to be working fine, so next weekend I'll properly start on the new game I'm setting up. (Yes, new game -- the old one is just too much of a reminder of what stopped me playing Sims for a while.) If you're curious, I downloaded some fixes for wonky textures/placements for certain objects, a "command center" that lets me control my population AND bypasses the culling (main reason for getting it!), some wallpapers -- and a set of A:MR dresses and Alice's knife. XD The dresses look pretty good, though them all sharing the same mesh leads to some wonkiness in places. . .and Alice apparently can't wear a necklace with them. O.o

Still, I've gotten good use out of them already -- she now has her Classic and London (short-sleeved variant -- remember, all same mesh!) as alternate "everyday" looks, the Royal Suit as an alternate "formal," Silk Maiden as alternate "athletic," Misstitched and Steamdress as alternate "Party," and Siren as alternate "Swimwear." (No, it's not supposed to be swimwear, I designated it as such anyway XD) She also has the modern outfits I already chose for her, so she's got quite the wardrobe now. Poor Victor's been left in the dust in that area, though I did spend some time making him a third "everyday" outfit and giving him an alternate version of his "swimwear" one (one with a t-shirt, one without). They're on a lot in Newcrest right now -- no house, but I'll take care of that next Saturday. Along with putting in places for them to visit, plus moving in Doc and Marty and the others. . . Projects! :P

Speaking of which, started edits on "Card Castles In The Sky" today -- got the opening bit done. Next is the brief bit from Alan's POV -- which in a weird way is a perspective flip of the very beginning of Alice's Cardbridge chapter, so I'll have to refer to that to make sure she reacts right. And then we get into the stuff where I'm going to have to copy-paste over a lot of dialogue. . .hopefully it'll all turn out all right!

Other than that, not much to say about today. Watched NC review Pixels (by popular demand) and Helloween's Castlevania set, caught up on tumblr queues, did a few replies for DW and set up a new thread for the gang at a summer carnival event. :) So I guess it's been pretty busy. Good sort of busy, at least.

And now I have to go to bed, as work starts again tomorrow. With the last early Friday I have. . . :( On the other hand, Labor Day's coming up fast too, and I know we get plenty of days off in the fall, so. . .it all balances, I suppose. Night!

Funny you should mention Sims because I booted up Sims 2 over the weekend myself. On either the DIY or HGTV channel they have this show about Tiny Houses (like, houses made from old trailers, busses, whatever; they're designed usually to be mobile) and I decided I wanted to make one on Sims because why not. When I was done it looked like someone had taken the trailer off a semi and put in a small living room, kitchen and bathroom and "loft" (read: bedroom since I don't think you can make low ceilings in Sims 2). I haven't moved anyone in but it was fun to design nonetheless, lol.

Also, I got the fifth Monolith and I named him Colossus (reference to the game Shadow of the Colossus) since he came with my Dark's name of Borogoves. I also summoned the Twelfth Island. No idea what I'm gonna put on it yet. Since you need over 4 billion DC to get and clear the Thirteenth Island (but not too much; the obstacles are only DC607,575), I'm gonna wait until I have maybe 5 billion altogether so I'll have a nice buffer.

DC: 2,179,322,632; G: 1018 (woo!)
