Semi-Frustrating Day At Work

Bombarded by e-mails from the CAP people this morning -- asking about this set of addresses and that set of addresses and they have so many letters going and ai-yi-yi, please, I have other parts of my job that need to get done! *sigh* I eventually got them all the information they needed, but man. At least it made the day go by, I suppose. And I just have to get through tomorrow before having the pleasure of three day weekend, so. . .

Not much else to say. Did some personal writing today -- letting Chapter 19 cook a bit before giving it the "pre-posting pass." Queues are ready to go, and fanarts are up as usual: Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 of "Finding You" by Lilyenrenn. I am quite amused by the first with its flying sheet music. XD Also, "Corpse Bride's on Netflix!" is insanely popular in the tag over there -- am I the only one who ever bought a physical copy of the movie? I have two, in fact -- DVD and Blu-Ray. Can I call myself the One True Fan then? :P

Anyway -- a couple of DW replies to do, then I must hit the sheets. Night all!

I get that, too, only it's the buyers and scales sending paperwork for new vendors to be added to the system or requesting updates to the ones already there. I have to do my regular work before I can get to those and as a result they have a tendency to pile up, especially since they have to be approved by someone else first and he's always super busy.

In other words, I feel ya. ^^

Edit: By the by, I'm not sure if you know but there are still banner-toting visitors wandering around the park. It's one per Epic that you have, they give DC20,000 and respawn every day.

Also, apparently this is the "Weekend of Twins"; any Cooperative Breeding will result in twins every time. Gee. /deadpan It's through October 11. Also-also, I kind of owe you a proper update but I think I'll make that separate.

With me it's like "You're Catholic School Office-related WHY DON'T YOU HIRE PEOPLE TO DO THIS" (I know they're on a budget, but still). And yeah, isn't it annoying? *patpats* My father says it at least makes the day go by faster, but -- mixed blessing.

Wait, what?! O.O Why would -- WHY IS THERE NO INDICATION OF THIS ON THE VISITORS BUTTON *looks around park* And I'm not seeing anyone with banners -- where did you get this info?

That's an odd promo for Columbus Day weekend O.o Well, maybe I'll throw a few dragons together and see if I get anything interesting twins-wise.

I just happened to be zoomed in after the Faire ended and saw the flags. It's also on the wiki under visitors.

*checks Wiki* Aha -- the wiki comments seem to think it's connected with Elder dragons, and I did find the green Plant banner lady after another look (since my one current Elder is Flitvine, my first Plant dragon). So that's interesting. Well, thanks for the heads-up!

Proper DV update because I think I neglected...well, things.

 

Firstly, redid my spreadsheet again. Decided to cave and get some Giant Habitats to cut down on the amounts of others since I'd maxed them out. I have a nice stockpile of gems, so I'm not too fussed.

 

And speaking of Twins, I just hatched a Twin Rainbow. I know I have two non-twins already but I like to keep at least the first one I get. Second gets turned into a pedestal. The rest get sold. Anyways, he came with my Flower's name of Jabber so I named him Bifröst after the Rainbow Bridge in Norse Mythology. Here are the other new twins I've gotten since the last time I told you about them (pregen name unless otherwise stated):

 

Fuzzy (Hail)

Stoney (Mountain)

Flake (Storm)

Gusty (Pollen)

Isaac (Sorarian)

Baryon (Acid - it's not in the list of pregen names but if it's not pregen then I can't remember why I named it that unless baryon acid is a thing...)

Landon (Moss)

Demeter (Nectar - the name came from Doctor Who; they're named after a seed (the Demeter Seeds) that could grow in even the harshest environment and it was called 'food of the gods')

Chubbs (Scoria)

 

I also have a Bismuth and I named him MissingNo; because I'm a dork and his beard looks like one of the sprites that's generated from the glitch.

 

Haven't used my wish yet. Gonna save it because I'm trying to coop breed the dragons that are out of the market. I'm like 99% sure it can be done. Even if it's not, the extra cash doesn't hurt.

 

I need to redo my Epics islands and rearrange the dragons now that I've organized my spreadsheet. No idea when I'll do that, but it's there to do. Probably when I do get around to it, something else will be added to make me redo the thing again. :/

 

Hm...I think that's about it.

Heh, no worries. Shit happens.

I -- have not been keeping track of my new dragons at ALL beyond Weyr Wednesday updates on my tumblr. Somehow I fell out of the habit of writing everybody down -- probably because I didn't feel like I had the time. So, uh, "weyr wednesday" tag, yeah. . . ^^; Nice new set of dragons, though! I like the names -- though MissingNo makes me twitchy ever since that one Linkara storyline where he was an eldritch god. O.o (Still better than what I called my poor bastard -- Pepto. Bismuth is an ingredient in Pepto-Bismol, you see. . .)

I have to redo aaaall the islands, seriously. But when I'm at home, I'm always thinking about other things, and work doesn't have wifi. . .

Anyway, maybe this weekend I'll update my list of dragons. I know I'm missing five that I'll have to try for during Bring 'Em Back.
