crossover_chickToday in Back To The Future III is all about blowing things up! Well, okay, it's more about exploring abandoned silver mines, Doc providing exposition that will later explain why he and Clara hit it off so well (Jules Verne, matchmaker), jokes about how we went from hating the Japanese to coveting all their tech, and the horrible revelation that 85!Doc dies only one week after he wrote his letter to Marty ("What kind of a future do you call that?!"). But explosions do happen! Late-night research at the library happens too, with Buford revealed as a real asshole, Marty discovering his face is REALLY prominent in his family tree, and Doc finding himself posing with a clock in the archives because, likely as in the movie when Marty joins him for the pic, the opportunity was too good to pass up. Although that could bleed over into tomorrow morning. . . *shrug* It happens roughly in this time frame, anyway.
Been a pretty quiet Saturday -- Mom had a full day at work, so Dad convinced me to hold off on the vacuuming until tomorrow. As a result, I have spent most of my day catching up on videos! We had Daredevil's origin from Linkara (which he pronounced pretty damn good, and it genuinely was); wondering why we keep wanting to celebrate the holidays earlier and earlier from Nostalgia Critic (along with a message to be the sort of person you are around the holidays all year long); and philosophical ramblings plus sloppers and anglerfish headbutting us in the face from Helloween and SOMA. Good stuff. XD
I also started proper work on Chapter 22 -- coming along pretty good, I have to say. It's a short chapter, but I think it works as one, and so far the dialogue has been pretty much fine. Mainly been adjusting some of Victor's reactions to things, trying to punch them up and make them a little more active. Might just get this sucker out this upcoming Friday -- though I make no promises. Never know what might happen. Looking good so far, though.
