Making Life Harder For Myself

Tried to update my Windows Live Mail this evening with a patch specifically from Microsoft itself (I double-checked the e-mail that announced it) and ended up breaking it. I was piiiiissed, let me tell you. Ended up uninstalling and redownloading it just so I could have my handy "don't have to leave the desktop/guaranteed noise/oh hey I'D LIKE MY DRAFTED REPLIES" program back. Wasted a good half-hour of time raging over that. Urgh.
Had kind of a frustrating morning too, at work -- my coworker and I were supposed to have a meeting with two of the Catholic School Office people at 9 AM, but when we got there, the room were were going to be in was empty. Turns out one of the people we were to meet with double-booked herself and tried to tell us she moved the meeting to 11 -- but she sent the e-mail right at 9, and by that point we were downstairs already, because we didn't want to be late. We got it all straightened out and had the meeting, but it wasn't my favorite way to start the day.
Fortunately it hasn't been all doom and gloom -- two of my other coworkers went out to lunch and came back with candy canes! I ate mine with lunch -- guess we can say Christmas has officially started for me. :P And despite a slightly late start, I got another chunk of Chapter 25 done. We're on-target people! Though I'm not on-target for gift fics -- gotta start those this weekend as I finish things up. I have a few ideas, at least. . .even if I'm doing more than I usually do thanks to new followers and such. Probably gonna limit stuff to no more than 300 or so words if I can, just to make it easier on myself. And the Frostival is going well -- first weekend of double is upon us. I was kind of expecting it, since the weekend after next is Christmas, and they gotta go double for that. At any rate, I'm just gathering iceberries and plugging away on my missing dragons as best I can. Fingers crossed I manage to score some of my skips!
And now, having finished up tumblr queues, I should probably get on a few DW replies. . . Night all, sleep tight!

Date: 2015-12-13 05:09 am (UTC)It's kind of a park sim -- you start out with one floating island and a handful of "primary" dragons, which you breed together to get "hybrid" dragons. They all need habitats, and you can grow food to feed them and level them up, which makes them produce more cash. And as time goes on, you can get more islands, more kinds of dragons, different kinds of food, and so on and so forth. It's pretty fun -- I've been playing for about two years now.

Date: 2015-12-13 05:51 am (UTC)LOL, no, but that's still fun. My Sims game of choice is Sims 4 these days. Never played SimCity -- though I did have SimTown, its little cousin. All my Sims biked because I didn't want roads to pollute everything. :P
