Because my ill-advised decision to read about horror things I know freak me out would have to go up against the exhaustion blahs my period forces on me?
Yeah, I forgot that my period also likes to inflict nasty night sweats on me too. I could NOT get comfortable for the life of me -- I kept having to throw the covers on and off. And that got my imagination stirred up, and -- well, bottom line is, I didn't get any sleep AT ALL last night. And despite my attempts to power through it at work, I eventually had to succumb to the need to leave early because I was literally starting to fall asleep at my desk. Kind of embarrassing, but better to leave and get the nap in rather than be useless there -- and it's not like I don't have sick and personal time saved up for these moments. Learned my lesson, though -- not touching that franchise ever freaking again. And now I know where the Advil PM is kept, so if I struggle with sleepytimes again, I know what to do. (Not that I think that'll be a problem tonight, considering I half-slept through the bus ride home and had a full-on hour nap once I got back, and I'm still feeling kind of out of it. Though I fully admit that could also be partially because of period blahs.)
Weirdly enough, the day has not been a total loss productivity-wise -- I managed to stay at work until 1:30 and got my two main tasks of the day done. I recovered just enough over my lunch break to do DW replies, which I will be slapping up shortly for everyone's entertainment, and I'm just finishing up tumblr queue stuff now. And I even did a gift drabble for Christmas after supper! So yeah, even sleep-deprived, I can get SOME stuff done. Go me.
However, I'd like to feel something resembling refreshed tomorrow morning, so definitely making this an early night. Sleep tight, everybody!

Date: 2015-12-15 03:44 am (UTC)I just found out today that Christopher Lloyd was in one of those cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies. There's a rerun on Friday night I'm DVRing. It looks to be a "What if/alternate timelines" thing. Sadly it doesn't look like he's playing the token Magical Being that sends the main character to those alternate timelines. That would be William Shatner, lol.

Date: 2015-12-16 02:46 am (UTC)*snork* Awww man, you have Doc Brown and you DON'T have him be the time-travel guy? Ah well, I hope Shatner's sufficiently amusing in it. . .and cheesy Christmas movies are nothing new to Lloyd. I know for a fact the man starred in Santa Buddies.

Date: 2015-12-19 06:34 pm (UTC)She goes home and finds out her mother had a heart attack, but she didn't die; she moved to Sweden with the doctor who treated her whom she fell in love with. Her grandfather (Lloyd) is still at home and he gives her words of encouragement and lots of love. He suggests time travel when she tells him she has no idea what's going on, but she thinks she's just having a breakdown. Also he seems to own the same car '55 Doc did only in a reddish-burgundy instead of creme. I don't know cars but the shape to me looked similar.
Her boyfriend is marrying someone else and she realizes that yeah she's successful but it's not what she really wants. She could have all the success in the world but if she's not with him then it's not worth it. She goes back to the park and the Shatner character is there and after they talk again she's back three years ago so this time she can do things right.
Of course it's more involved than that but that's the gist. Like I said, not bad. And Lloyd's character is the cozy warm grandpa everyone deserves. :)
