It's been -- 2015ish so far. :P

Seriously, though, not much to say about the New Year at the moment. It was just kind of a lazy, catching-up-on-what-I-missed-on-New Year's-Eve day. Watched Linkara's "Another 15 Missed Opportunities" video, caught up on tumblr, caught up on DW tags, caught up with FF.net messages, and I just caught up with tumblr RP. So I'm at least feeling very caught up at the moment. :P Also got another good chunk done on "Remembering You," so proud of myself there. Trying to keep the momentum going through my long weekend. Only real resolution this year is to get that story up, at least in its initial form. You know me and my later Blu-Ray editions. . .but if I can at least get it up this year I'll be happy. Also hoping to edit "In The Land of the Dead" and slap it up on the website if I get a chance. Would be nice to get it all done before 2020. . .

Only other things of note about today:

-->Played Geeker in Sims, sent him out to the local museum to chat to people and absorb culture. He had a pretty good time, if you define a full social bar as such. He's also in the Tech Guru career now, so all my Sims are on their way to good jobs, yaaaay. (In fact, I saw Eric wander by Geeker's house in his beat cop uniform -- very nice, I must say.)

Based on the concept from Steven Universe, though she's been kind enough to write up a full explanation for those of us who have only recently found the site's TV Tropes page. :P I admit, while I'm not a SU fan, the concept is pretty interesting. And it's inspiring a lot of cool fanart. :D

All right, got a bit of downtime at the moment -- might risk a look on TV Tropes. G'night all, and I hope the new year treats you right!

Okay, I felt bad that I haven't been able to do anything for you because of Stuff so, here...this is a rough draft of the first chapter of the story I've been saying I've been writing for you. Since you posted your first look at "Remembering You" in FF.net, I thought I owed you. *shrug* The story doesn't have a title yet.

Aww, thanks~ And oooo, I am intrigued! I never thought of Secundus having a County Fair. . .though I suppose it does make sense for those Touched who work with animals and the like, like AL. I'm sure Victor will enjoy attending. :)

This was the idea I mentioned around this time last year, though I originally thought it'd be later in the timeline and thus Victor and Alice would bring the kids. Then I decided for it to take place sooner. And also why, last summer, I asked you what would be going on the first weekend of August after Secundus ends. :p

My original plan was to GO to the Sussex Fair and take notes, but then Life happened. And, to add insult to injury, DragonVale decided to do THEIR Faire. I was like "...seriously?" The closest I came to spilling about the fic was naming my Faire Dragon Sussex. ^^

AL's menagerie was also originally bigger. At the time I was playing Animal Crossing New Leaf on 3DS and had my villager animals be part of the zoo (and funnily enough I had a horse named Victoria) but when I stopped playing (it's one of those "play every day our your villagers get upset and/or move away" kind of games and I got frustrated trying to play every day) so I took them out and just left Goldy and the horses.

I have an idea of where I want this story to go (and I'm not gonna say cuz I still want an element of surprise) but finding the time to write it is tough.

Ahhh, I see! Well, good thing it's not interfering with the Ice Cream Social. :P Those steak sandwiches do sound yummy -- too bad I'll probably never get my hands on one. Victor will have to enjoy in my stead.

Yes, damn you Life. . .and LOL, yeah, that figures on the timing. Well, you certainly did well in keeping it a secret despite that. XD

LOL, really? Interesting. . .but yeah, I can see why you'd get frustrated. "Play every day" is something I can only manage for my iPad games. Ah well -- might have been a bit crowded otherwise.

I hear you on that front -- these four-day weekends have been a real boon to my writing, but once I get back on a normal schedule, I'm going to have to do some real fiddling to make sure my writing time stays intact. *pats*
