Holy Shit. It actually exists.

Something I thought I invented in one of my stories. The basic concept does exist. (I hesitate to say what, it might ruin everything.)
-M: I hate when you get secretive.-
I can't just go around giving away my plots. This is weird. This might screw everything up, too. Now that's there's a real-world basis.
-D: Why?-
Well, I probably invented how I dealt with it. It has to do with the link.
-VD: Ooh, now I see why you don't want to say anything. You never want to say anything about that.-
Because it's a trade secret. I'll have to check out more about the concept and see what I can do to fit my ideas around it. Because, honestly, I want to keep what I wrote. I think I finally got the darn story down (even if it doesn't have a title as of yet).
-VM: *grin* It was easier with us, huh? You could just make us up.-
Yeah, and I'm glad of it, too.

Problem is, if I say too much, I'll probably give away the plot, and I don't want to do that. Suffice to say that the link is more than mere telepathy. It has to do with Doc and Marty's souls, how's that?

I didn't mean to make you paranoid! I'm sure that this fact won't upset your plot too much. Just remember that this widely documented, so if you have to stretch the truth a little, it shouldn't be a huge problem.

Think about how this truth will be stretched in my fic and you should feel totally better!

DLB -- *laugh* Sorry, but apparently this was documented in 1994. I think I went psychic again and somehow picked up on this idea.

Tracie -- It's okay, if there's one thing I'm good at, it's making myself paranoid. ;) I read a little about it, and I probably have a highly unique twist on the whole thing. This could come in handy for a later related fan fic, though.
Weird coincidence you were researching the same thing, though, huh?

To All: This is what I get for writing my stories out of order. This "link" story actually comes pretty late in my BTTF Non-Trilogy Universe -- happens in 1989 to be specific. And it happens to be specific to Non-Trilogy. VampDoc, VampDoc2, and ClaraDoc (from my Trilogy stuff) don't have this.
