Quick Post-Movie Thing

So we went to see Deadpool, and --

You know, I think I liked it? It's definitely not going to make any of my top ten lists, and Mom and Dad definitely thought it was not for them, but. . . I barely laughed at any of it, but I like the ideas behind it, I think. I think I like that the movie exists, that people were willing to take a chance on an R-rated Anti-Hero movie. And I admit, I enjoy fourth-wall breaking. . . I dunno. I think this is one I have to let stew in my head for a bit.

Right now, though, I gotta hit the sheets. Night all!

I was thinking of seeing it, but I'm leery because of the R rating. I thought it was part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and thus I'd have to see it, but I found out it's not (different companies, so they actually can't directly reference things from the MCU) so I figured I'd just wait until it comes on TV and then I can fast forward through the parts I don't like.

Nope -- if it's part of anything, it's part of the X-Men verse (since that's Fox's baby from Marvel now that the latter's apparently reclaimed Spider-Man). And I think you would be fast-forwarding through large parts of the movie -- there's numerous sex scenes, and a prominent scene in a strip club (which is where the Stan Lee cameo is).
