Another Busy Day

The import today had all sorts of tweaking and such necessary before I could put it in -- one of these days, I'll get back to being able to do the general ledger in the morning! At least tomorrow I can leave it to one of my coworkers and focus on getting a bunch of maintenance done. So behind on that. . .but for a good reason -- weekly reports day and all. And fielding a bunch of phone calls, and just the usual office business. Day definitely went by, let me tell you.

Getting back home got a little interesting, though -- Mom called me up to tell me they'd be late coming to get me because they were at Wal-Mart -- the one next to the train station that was my bus's next stop. XD So I got off there and we all drove home together. Certainly quieter than the bus, though I did have to share my seat with a bunch of groceries. And of course there was the rush to put them all away when we got home. . .well, at least we have food for a while.

Got some written on "Remembering You" -- up to the part where Victor remembers punching Jack Splatter -- and just did my tumblr queues. Just two more things to answer, and I'm done for the night. Which is good, because I've been getting to bed waaaay too late lately. . . So good night all!

So by my calculations, as long as we can max out every day and assuming we aren't lucky in breeding the rest of the Chrysalis family, then we should be collecting enough Eggs to get the Habitat, the Pedestals (to help unlock the windows) and the Dragons.

This is, of course, not figuring in the "random limited here have a go before it's gone hurry up omg!" they do. But as long as it's less than like 17k Eggs then it shouldn't be a factor. Even the Pharaoh was only (hah!) 8310.

And, of course, this is assuming my calculations are correct. Any Egg rewards (like the 25, 50 and 200 we've already gotten...that last one was niiiiice...) will give us more to play with. On Easter Sunday we're getting a random dragon and on April 2nd is when we get the Marbletail so I'm assuming no Eggs that day but who knows.

Personally I don't think I'm gonna trade in my Eggs until the Event is close to ending, just in case. While it ends on the 4th the prizes will be available until the 11th so if some of the prizes can be cheesed* then that's less Eggs to spend on prizes.

*cheesed - cheated, i.e. "hopefully successfully breed those suckers so you don't have to spend Eggs"

As an unrelated side note, I had the thought that since Victor's wanted to fly that maybe he should feel a slight pang of jealousy when Secundus!AL shows her wings. On top of the jealousy that she has a boyfriend, heh.

Sounds good -- I've been doing well in maxing so far, and I hope to keep it up. And I've also had luck with breeding the limiteds, so hopefully they won't have to be factored in. . . We'll see, I guess.

I think it's going to keep going up as the "weeks" go by -- like last week it was all 25 except for the one 200 gift (and yeah, that was a pleasant shocker), this week it'll be 50s with other stuff. . . So that'll be good. :) The more eggs the better! And yeah, I doubt we'll get eggs with either of the dragons -- I don't recall it working that way with the Frostival. That's okay, though. I'm quietly hoping they'll somehow give me one of the two Crystallines I need. :p

I've already gotten the habitat, and I plan on getting the Chrysalis just so I have it to breed with. After that, we'll see what wonders the Co-op cave may hold. My current project is to try and get that missing 5th Monolith pedestal to get closer to unlocking the next level. I'd like to at least get the Shell of Surprise if I can. . .or, if that damn Lost Island is among the prizes. . . I was saving my gems specifically to see if I could spot it in the marketplace, but no go. Hmph.

Heh, yeah, he probably would. A pang that would go away the moment he managed to successfully create Ferdy. :P

The Lost Island is under the "Opalescent" prizes. It's 5995 Eggs once that one's unlocked.

I'll tweak the fic over the weekend. He also needs to ask why her sign is green instead of red. :p

Oooooo -- thanks for the update! So I'll need about 6000 eggs to get it. . .guess we'll see what happens with the dragons.

Heh -- the fic that will not be completed. . .at least these are just small edits.

Fixed. I added the bit about the sign, envy at her wings, and also the fact that now he can see the slits in her coat and shirt once her wings are hidden again.

Well I had the thought that unless she retracted her wings, then if they were just invisible then he'd still kind of be able to see them (like animals can do naturally). I'm debating because now I'm thinking "Well if she retracts them then where exactly do they go?" I haven't figured that part out yet (even though her wings being retractable has been her thing forever I never established how they retract and I can't really just say hammerspace) so tomorrow I may tweak that they're transparent to him and he can see the edges of the slits.

Edit: Fixed that bit...Victor sees them as transparent now.

*snrrrk* Oh dear. Wonderful when the fridge logic hits you at an awkward moment, huh? Though that's a good point -- retractable wings are all fine and good, but invisible wings make somewhat more sense physics-wise. So a well-deserved edit, I think. Now leave it alone already :P *pokes*
