crossover_chick. . .Great, that title makes me want to see a fanfic where Chell has to take on eldritch abominations. . . Anyway, it does sum up my main video game activity of the day:
-->Played some Portal -- Chell still working her way through the ruins of Aperture and getting snarked at by GLaDOS. Seeing the facility from the other side is fascinating, though it can be hard to tell where you're supposed to go and what can kill you -- I've mistakenly though I was going to end up in a crush situation twice, and actually got crushed once. Still, I'm getting there, slowly but surely. The beginning of April will likely mark me beating the game -- then I can do the challenge maps, or find the developer commentary, or just move straight on into a replay of Portal 2. We'll see. :P
-->Watched the latest sets of Call of Cthulhu from Helloween. We've finally seen -- and defeated -- our first eldritch abomination, and we're poised to take on the Esoteric Order of Dagon! I'm sure nothing bad will come of all this! *huge fake smile* Seriously, though, it was a fun ride with Jack sneaking through the Marsh Refinery (well, "sneaking" as in "blowing off fishmen's heads with a shotgun or revolver" -- this IS Helloween we're talking about). And this game does creepy really, REALLY well despite being over ten years old -- Jack's asylum flashbacks/visions are delightfully unnerving, and there's a big chase sequence with a Shoggoth that ratchets up the tension like whoa. Ten out of ten there, developers. (Also, question of the day: Has anyone made Jack Walters or Alex Rovias from Eternal Darkness as Bloodborne characters? Might have to look that up on the YouTubes.)
Been a fairly typical Saturday otherwise -- Alice is going to see Dr. Fixxler in "Remembering You," though I'll have to take a quick look at the A:MR art book again to remind myself just what his shop is supposed to look like. Did the vacuuming and dusting, then wandered onto TV Tropes for a bit because it's a long weekend and I do what I want. :P Also maxed out eggs in DragonVale again -- definitely not doing the double thing unless it's only tomorrow. Meeeeeh.
Only thing now is to do the RP business, so let's get cracking. Night all!
