Day of Doing Things

crossover_chickChilly one today, but the temperature actually rose late in the day and the snow's already melting, so hooray for that. I have decided to make the best of this stupid cold snap and have been drinking up the last of my hot chocolate. Better than just having it sit around uselessly in summer. . .
Anyway -- productive day at work. Got the imports done, got the weekly reports done, got the remittances (pledge reminders) done, got the GL done, got that error on the GL fixed, started on getting potential duplicates in the reminders sorted. Very glad to just get a bunch of stuff done and not have to worry about it. Tomorrow should be more of the same as I catch up on other imports and maintenance. Just gotta keep chugging along. . .and hope we don't have any more shitty weather. I know it's nothing like last year, but DAMN I'm still sick of snow.
Legendary Egg Hunt has ended -- and thanks to a "oh hey we said you could get the last of your gift eggs out of your gifts but the game's going LOL NO" error, I have an extra 1000 eggs for my trouble. Still not enough to buy all three remaining Chrysalis dragons. . .so I said "screw it" and bought the Monolith pedestal I needed to unlock the next tier of gifts, and then bought myself a Lost Island. Because I wanted it and I'm going to throw eggs on it, damn it. There's still a chance of cheesing the dragons themselves through Co-op, so. . .
Got TWO pages done on "Remembering You" -- into Chapter 11, and Victor's going up against the wall! Looking forward to writing this -- gonna be a good fight, I hope! Feels funny to be so close to the end. . .but in a good way. And besides, it's not the end until I've edited it at least twice. :P
And now I'm finishing up RP replies, because I really want to just get everything done and out of the way and do a fresh start tomorrow. Which means I'd better wrap up here so I can wrap up everywhere else -- night!

Date: 2016-04-06 06:59 pm (UTC)I took your suggestion and went with Metapod for the Chrysalis proper (as a reminder, it's pregen was Spike, my Tree). Even though Metapod are green, their Shiny sprite very closely resembles the coloring of the Chrysalis.
Duskwing's pregen was Steve (my Water) and I gave that one Kakuna since their Shiny sprites are green. Never mind its adult form is red. Whatever.
Lacewing's pregen was Fang (my Earth). Since it's wings kind of resemble the owfly, that's what I named it.
Marbletail's pregen was Borogoves (my Dark). Since the description mentions the painter Jackson Pollock ("Maybe this dragon is more of a pollocktail at heart.") I named him Jackson. Even though my Hypnotic is named Jack. Oh well.
Swallowtail's pregen was Slythe (my Air). I named it after the Pokémon Beautifly, who was based on a Swallowtail.
I also managed (after having all of my breeding environments on it) to breed the Sixth Monolith. But it takes over a day to hatch so we'll wait on the name.
The only other stuff I bought with Eggs was the Chrysalis family pedestals. I have 4129 left and there's nothing I really want so I'll let them get turned into Treats.

Date: 2016-04-07 03:27 am (UTC)Heh, cool :D Glad to be an inspiration. And I named my Marbletail Jackson too for the exact same reason. XD I dunno what I'll name the others if and when I get them -- probably think of some silliness based on their descriptions.
I dunno what's going to happen with the rest of my Eggs yet. It kind of depends on if I can breed any of the dragons through co-op madness, really. Grr. . . I suspect I'll be ending the event proper with a fair amount of food, though.
