Loooong Day
May. 18th, 2016 11:19 pmCAP meeting in the morning -- first time I stayed the whole two hours, which made it kind of drag near the end. And of course it all means I can expect more e-mails bugging me for all the things in the near future. . .I know, I know, it's my job, but sometimes it can feel like I'm being pulled in more directions than is healthy. And then this afternoon was dedicated to going through this big Excel file of names and sorting out which are okay and which aren't. . .just not my favorite day at work. At least the weather was decent and I got my exercise.
Also turned out not to be my favorite day in Fallout Shelter. I actually got in decent playsessions on the bus to and from Providence -- have an awesome new gun in the works, and we have some new kids in the Vault. But the teddy bears I need for decent outfits remain in short supply, and right as I got my Vault Explorers in for the night, I had a Deathclaw attack. One where the game kept crashing, meaning a bunch of people died before I could heal them with stims. And of course this didn't do much for happiness in the Vault -- although, given that I try to maximize happiness whenever possible, we're still in the low 90%s. Still, it kinda pissed me off. I guess what I should really do is start training dwellers in Endurance in shifts, since that makes them more durable. . .new gun on the top level should help a lot too. We'll see what happens.
Good thing which happened today: Finished edits on Chapter 7 of "Losing You!" So we'll have a nice double update tomorrow evening in time for Friday. w00t~ Then it's just the very short Chapter 8 to go -- honestly, given I have no idea how to bulk it up any (it's basically just there for the "dun-dun-DUNNNN" moment at the end when Nell mentions Bumby), I might have that done and over with this weekend. And then it's on to "In The Land of the Dead!" So at least I'm properly productive in one area of my life.
Right now, though, bed calls. Night!
