crossover_chickTo my great surprise, but apparently their vacation was such a bust (bad weather, nothing much to do, hotel room sprung a leak -- no, seriously) that they decided to cut it short and just go to the beach tomorrow. Weather's supposed to be good for it, so hopefully they'll have a nice day. Me, I just hope work is slightly less frustrating than today. There always seems to be another mistake to fix lately, and following up on one reveals two or three more. . . *sigh* At least it keeps me busy. Just gotta hang on for tomorrow and half of Friday. . .
Still working on Chapter 5 of "In The Land of the Dead" -- improving on Lizzie and Bonejangles's first conversation. It gets a little snarkier, and BJ drops a surprise revelation that he was halfway through Pride and Prejudice when he died. Good times! I intend to take full advantage of the long weekend to get that finished up and start on Chapter 6 so I can keep up my streak of weekly updates. Fingers crossed!
In other news, new DragonVale event pending -- the Arcane Pentournament! It's basically five "schools" of magic, each representing two elements, coming together to have a friendly battle. You can "join" a school to get a mascot dragon and I think special decorations for your park? I'll be able to explain better tomorrow when it actually starts and I join the House of the Hidden Bolt -- aka the Halloween/Whitbee house, because I am always down for Halloween. It looks fun so far, and I hope it stays that way. We'll see!
And with most stuff queued or answered, it's time for me to hit the sheets, methinks. Night all!

I haven't picked a House yet. I want to learn more about this event (ie want the Wiki to update) before I commit to anything. Since I'm gonna be hoarding my Rings for a while I don't think it'll hurt anything (I hope)
This is a long one; it goes until September 6. I've yet to figure out if having it be that long will allow one to unlock the prize windows and get all the new dragons.
The Fates Dragon's breeding combo is Plant + Fire + Water and takes (I think) 16 hours. The normal breeding time is 20 hours.
I did have every dragon again before this all came about.
Shield I also named Coulson.
Wavelyte is Glutton.
Azurite is Nip.
Plains is Simba.
Nether is Rocky.
Labradorite is Gabbro (where real labradorite occurs).

That's probably a good idea -- though I think I'm pretty much set on Whitbee's house no matter what. I love the Candy Bash and spooky dragons too much. XD Little surprised the Wiki hasn't updated yet, actually. . .ah well, we can wait a day, can't we?
I'm not surprised -- looking at it, I figured it was probably this year's equivalent of last year's Great Dragon Faire. I would hope that would be the case, but Backflip has been tricky before. . .on the other hand I've managed everything I wanted every time before too, so *shrug* And hey, this year they're actually doing TRIPLE days, so that's something!
*nod* I will take this into consideration!
LoL -- and you know, I ALMOST named my Plains Simba, but the fact he looks like a gazelle won out for me. Still haven't managed the Labradorite yet. *sigh*
