Chapter 10 of "In The Land of the Dead" is posted! See it on FF.net, on AO3, or on my website. Contains Alice-themed reminiscing, Arthur being a book dork, and awkward love confessions. And yes, Gigs, both Scraps and your favorite line are in there too. :P

Not much else to say about the day, unless you're fascinated by the process of entering checks into batch at work. Which I am reasonably certain you are not. So I'm gonna go ahead and head to bed. Half day Friday up ahead, yaaaay~ Night!

Yay!!

Actually my other favorite line - though I can't remember where it took place or even if it's still in the rewrite at this point - is Lizzie going like "Oh, you're going to scold your twenty-something-year-old sister?"

I've been working on the fair fic. I've added a bit to the first chapter and gotten the second done-ish and started the third. I'm not going to the barn this weekend due to my sunburned feet, so I'll try to get something up for you before Monday.

Yep, it's in the next chapter.

She stumbled as her foot caught a loose board. "These bloody docks!" she snapped, stomping it down to relieve her feelings. "Nothing but a maze of filth and disease. We should have stayed on Leather Lane. No milliner anymore, perhaps, but it at least would have been cleaner!" She glared at a nearby smelt lying on the ground. "If by some miracle we do stumble across Alice here, I'm going to give her a lecture on appropriate places to explore – "

Oh, you're going to scold your twenty-year-old sister?

Lizzie stopped dead in her tracks as that thought hit her upside the head. Good God – that's right, isn't it? Eight when the rest of us died, then twelve years tacked on. . .and it's definitely past her birthday now. I. . .oh my. I – I guess I knew it before now, but it never really registered. . . . She wiped at her eyes, blinking back sudden tears. All those years of threatening me with being the older sister one day, and now –
