crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
You can blame that on my period coming at almost exactly midnight last night and thus laying me out for most of the day -- I'm almost always exhausted for no good reason the first day of the red curse. Eugh. I even decided to skip proper RP for the night, though I am doing queues (just did Forgotten's, about to skip over to Butterfly Boy's).

Despite this general feeling of "blah" that makes me just want to veg out for the night, I did get some productive things done:

-->More edits on Chapter 11 of "In The Land of the Dead" -- usual tweaking, you'll see it when it goes up

-->Finished Fat Larry's "Traffik" sidequest in Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines, though once again my lack of any direction sense in this game got me in trouble. I'd saved the game behind two guarding thugs whom, despite my best tricks, I could not get past without attracting all sorts of attention and thus getting killed while attempting to go on a murder spree. I was just about to say "fuck stealth" and just open with death and destruction, and got part of the way there. . .

And then I saw the "Exit" sign for the parking garage this was all taking place in and realized the problem.

I WAS RUNNING INTO ALL THE THUGS I'D ALREADY PASSED.

I WAS GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION ALL THIS TIME

Harry the Gangrel probably wanted to kill me at this point -- fortunately I'd been very generous with the quick saving and reloaded a nice early one and went the RIGHT way this time. And even managed to do it stealthily, shocker! My only defense is that the parking garage in the game goes DOWN underground for more parking, while I'm used to the ones that go UP into a building. So naturally I thought level four, where the briefcase that I was tasked with retrieving was, was UP. Nope -- down. *facepalm* I've seen this game LPed too. . .twice. . .

At any rate, I got the briefcase and got the extra XP for snagging it undetected. It helped a lot that, on the way down, I overheard some conversations suggesting both gangs (unnamed LA gang and Chinatown Tong) were screwing each other over with the deal, and planning on opening fire on the other guys as soon as the "deal" went off. So while I'm getting the real goods, the gangs are making a fake deal and then shooting each other up so I don't have to kill anybody! Just sit back and watch the fun. XD At any rate, briefcase has been delivered, and I'm parked outside Confession to get Venus's quests and take care of Patty. Good times~

-->Took a walk with Mom, which has not happened in AAAAGES. Good walk, even if it was humid and so overcast we worried it was going to rain. And we encountered our usual path blocked by an earth mover and the earth it had moved, forcing us to seek an alternate route. Nice to get some exercise.

-->Watched Linkara's Star Trek/Green Lantern crossover review. Fun stuff, especially with Linkara's opening rant on all the bad stuff about Star Trek -- while he's an admitted fan, he's a firm believer in acknowledging the garbage for what it is so it can be left behind in the past. The comic was cool too, even if not that logical in spots -- and it's got me wondering what Lantern Corps Victor, Alice, and company would belong to, which might make for an interesting Magical/Mad Science Monday post on the tumblr.

And then it broke my heart because of spoilery things I won't get into here -- just watch the review, seriously. Things are tough for my favorite internet reviewer just now. :(

-->Also watched Zero Punctuation (although that happened last night, so I'm not sure if it was yesterday or today *shrug*) -- amusing, even if I had to keep pausing the video to read jokes that flashed by too quickly. :P

And that, along with some meandering on TV Tropes and watching a "Fun With Shorts" on acting your age (in which at least one of the so-called adults didn't do a very good job of that), was my Saturday. I'm glad I was able to keep myself on-task for the edits and finally realize what I was doing wrong with V:tMB, but now I think I'm gonna finish up Butterfly Boy's queue and then find some silly YouTube vids to watch. Because it is late and I am not particularly in a "brain" mood. Night!
