crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)

Me late last night: Ugh, why is it so hard to focus lately? Why do I always feel kinda tired? Why do I constantly feel rather grouchy?

Me early this morning, awoken by cramps: . . .Oh.

Yup, the red curse hit today, and rather hard too -- it's been a while since I've had cramps that bad. Fortunately there were no incidents -- I got a pad in before anything got anywhere, and a couple of pain pills taken before my breakfast shake have made the day relatively pain-free. And despite a general "blah" feeling, I still got shit done:

-->Finished up edits on Chapter 6 of "Remembering You," though I'm second-guessing a bit one of the plot points. Honestly, while I like the beginning and the end fine, I'm not sure I always hit the right beat with the middle of this fic. I know what events I want to depict, but actually getting there. . .hmmm. Doesn't help that this fic has one of the shorter timelines of the Verse -- maybe I need to expand it a bit more into December. . . We'll see. Maybe I'll have a look at things tomorrow, see what I want to do.

-->Played Sims 4! Assigned lot traits to the Geeker/Wheatley/Chell household, added a couple of rooms (another small bathroom and a workout room (which currently is just treadmill, TV, and some lockers)), got Wheatley promoted after his second day on the job, and introduced Chell to the art of the bagel. Good day. :)

-->Had driving lesson -- went good for the most part, though there were a few iffy moments with overturning, Dad telling me to watch out for a car I'd already seen and startling me right in the middle of a turn (did NOT help that the sun was glaring on the road in that moment), and trying to slow down for a yellow light but not having enough time, meaning I went through a red. *sigh* Dad assures me that everybody makes those mistakes, but still. Just have to do better next time.

-->Watched more of Helloween's old SH3 LP -- creepy rusty shit has been happening, including decapitated mannequins bleeding. Lovely. Also spooky subways, odd office buildings, and somebody whom I think is a cultist, but I'm not sure? May nominally be on Heather's side? I technically know the plot to this thing, but I don't know all the details, so. . . Does not help that truly coherent dialogue is not the game's strong point. I know things are supposed to be cryptic in SH, but -- well, Helloween's been breaking out the "CRYPTIC BULLSHIT" voice a lot, and it is well deserved. Still liking it, though. He always brings the funny somehow. XD

-->Current activity -- queuing up RP replies, because even though my cramps have been conquered, my general tired and lack of focus has not. I'd rather have fewer solid replies saved for later than a glut of bad ones. Will also get to that one DW one I owe, though I can't promise anything about that long PM right now. . .

Okay, let's finish up here, and then maybe I'll do a little more with SH3. It's spooky, but I don't think it's enough to keep me up all night -- and besides, I'd like to see Silent Hill battle this exhaustion. Some days it's not fun being a girl. . .night!
