Okay -- let's get this out of the way: I just broke off contact with someone I knew on tumblr for a good many years. Reason? She posted a rather hateful rant on tumblr's current climate. And while I agreed with some of her points (mainly that tumblr can be waaay too sensitive and judgmental about certain subjects, and that it can be kinda anti-recovery for mental illness (though I don't feel like I can make a proper judgement call on that)), the ones I DISAGREED with left me with a severe knot in my stomach for most of the weekend. Particularly her views on triggers, transgenderism, and sexuality -- she's one of those who believes 'asexual' is just a 'cry for attention,' and since I have friends who identify as ace, and I MYSELF have been wondering if I'm somewhere on that spectrum (since I really don't have any interest in 'doing the do' with another human being, despite occasionally reading and writing sexytimes stories). Combined with the crude, nasty language and the fact that, in the past, RPing with her has been so frustrating at times that I seriously considered telling her to fuck off, that -- I decided to tell her to fuck off. I just couldn't do it anymore after that. I wanted to stop feeling ill every time I looked at tumblr.

Of course, this has had the side effect of basically screwing up my RP blogs over there, as she's been a main partner of mine for a while (despite the frustrations -- a lot of the time she was the ONLY one playing with me regularly, and I pushed myself on under the justification 'it's fiction, she's allowed to like what she likes, not like my boys have anyone else to talk to') and has worked herself into the history of both my Victors, to the point where Forgotten's living situation is a direct result of our RPs. Fortunately, thanks to recent more minor frustrations and the fact that Butterfly Boy was picking up a LOT of 'alternate universes,' I'd already been considering the idea of merging Forgotten and Butterfly Boy's blogs into one and doing basically a multi-muse blog -- for just one muse. XD I already have a name: The Valice Multiverse. Forgotten and Butterfly Boy will still be the stars of the show, of course, but this allows me to also RP other Victors I've grown to love, both from little AUs I already have ("Aperture Wage Slave," where Victor's an employee of Aperture in roughly its heyday) and ones I've just nattered on a lot about ("Londerland Bloodlines," where Victor is the ghoul of a Malkavian Alice). I've already put both of my old blogs on hiatus until I can get the new one up and running. Planning on making THIS one a lot more organized, let me tell you.

Now, it hasn't been all 'Sunday, Bloody Sunday' around here, happily:

-->Mom and I spent most of the day out on the road, looking around neighborhoods in North Providence and Smithfield for potential new houses. Didn't see much, but there were a couple of options we noted down. I actually drove us all the way up there, going from basically the bottom of the state straight to the top. Did good, too! Had one bad moment by Wal-Mart where I had to stop short for a red light and then had a bit of a tricky merge behind someone (not helped by Mom panicking I was going to go INTO the guy when I wasn't even trying to turn yet), but other than that, all right! I even went fast on the highway -- first time hitting 70, I think! So I'm proud of myself there.

-->Came back and did some writing on Chapter 8, redoing Alice's nightmare to fit the new continuity. Got briefly caught up in how the shadow of a hanging person should get her attention, but got past it (mostly by focusing on the sound she'd hear first). Up next, Victor and Wonderland helping her get past a fresh surge of guilt.

-->Did a mini-play of Vampire by finishing off the "Gangrel Serial Killer" quest in Santa Monica before supper. Persuasion was high enough to talk the guy down, yay! Then I sent Harry back to Hollywood and parked him in Vesuvius so he can report to VV and finish off that quest. Next week, getting back to the main reason I'm in Hollywood -- tracking down the assholes behind a snuff porno tape.

-->Caught up on Helloween showing us about the first hour of Chrono Trigger, which looks like a pretty cute and interesting RPG, and Fun With Shorts mocking a short on setting the tea table. Good stuff.

And not much else to say. I gotta get to bed anyway -- work tomorrow! Where I may be alone for the day, and the commute is sure to be a mess because it's already snowing outside. . . Wish me luck!
