It's like we managed to experience five seasons in one day. O.o Started out snowy, then started raining when I woke up this morning, got foggy around lunch, sun peeped out in the afternoon for a bit, then we got cloudy for the rest of the day. Just icky, icky weather all around. Nobody left the house, not even for driving practice -- general consensus of the parents is that I can handle rain, but snow is something to take very slow. Which, trust me, I get. The roads around here are NOT always plowed like they should be, and it can be unnerving enough as a passenger during those times. Tomorrow's supposed to be somewhat better -- windy rain at times, but highs near 60F -- but then on Monday the temperature plunges again, and while it won't be as bad as yesterday, it'll still be 30F for a high, so they're warning about flash freezes. Fun. At least after this it normalizes into the mid 40s up until Christmas Eve. New England weather, folks.

Anyway, Things I Have Done Today:

-->Finished up the "Alice struggles with her guilt, including the brief return of the Jabberwock" section of Chapter 8 of "Remembering You," and wrote a quick outline of the ending bit. This chapter was tough to nail down at times, but I'm pretty pleased with the end product. :)

-->Played Sims 4 -- Emmett finally got his next promotion at work! Along with a DNA sample from Nikal. No, I don't mean that in a sexy way, swabbing her cheek was literally a work goal, and she actually went along with it. He was rewarded for his hard work with a home chemistry station, so I redid his home office to accommodate it. I also attempted to transform his TV with his Sim Ray for laughs -- only to discover that this can occasionally SET THE OBJECT ON FIRE. Fortunately the Freeze setting of the Sim Ray works as a fire extinguisher. His TV, the chest of drawers it was sitting on, and somehow his SHOWER (on the other side of the wall) all got toasted, though he received some money as an "insurance payout." I replaced the shower and the chest, but decided to stick the TV in his household inventory as replacing that would have been expensive and he's easily one of my poorest Sims.

This led to me discovering an awesome glitch where the game doesn't quite recognize the object's toasted when it's in household inventory and allows you to sell it for damn near full price as if it was just lightly used. Emmett is now 1,000 simoleons richer, and I may actually be hoping for MORE fires in his future. XD

-->Watched Linkara review a Christmas Carol-themed Ghostbusters comic which had an interesting twist but also had Peter acting uncharacteristically dickish to further the plotline. Linkara was not impressed. Neither was I -- while I acknowledge the twist was certainly original, I would have preferred something along the lines of "old nasty rich guy being haunted by the spirits of Christmas hires the 'Busters, offering them riches; Busters must contend with doing their job (and getting really well paid for it) vs realizing the ghosts have a legit reason for haunting this guy." Linkara's own suggestion at the very end of the video was "Ghostbusters HIRED by the Christmas Ghosts," which would be cool too.

-->Binged on the latest three sets of Helloween's Dead Space replay, which included a set by Drunkoween. XD I'm continuing to quite enjoy it -- the story is interesting, the graphics are pretty damn great, the scares are well-executed, and Helloween's commentary remains fantastic. I love him -- he seriously needs more props from the LP community. I also watched his short video on Soul Caliber II, which is apparently a fighting game he enjoys -- he did well, though I can't say anything more intelligent than that, not knowing the franchise. *shrugs*

-->Just caught up on tumblr, hooray! Would have been more caught up earlier if not for the Epic Rap Battle binge last night, but what can you do.

-->DragonVale still being a crashy piece of ass. Have SOMEHOW managed to get dragons into the Colosseum and started breeding efforts to get the Barite (if I'm lucky, the menu stays up long enough for me to chose a dragon or two and get things going before crashing). I have no faith in my ability to get any maxed iceberry days in this event, especially since I still haven't heard back from Backflip support. I'm over the worst of my anger, though -- at this point, I've come to accept that it's probably the Mini being too small and too old. Damn aging technology. . .

Okay, now I need to answer that PM on DW from the other day, then read some fanfics and review 'em. Also should start the process of getting my new RP blog set up. . . We'll see how tired I am when I finish the other stuff. Night all!
