Thirty years old today! And unfortunately I do have work tomorrow, along with a meeting with the home loan lady, so I need to sum things up quick:

-->Woke up about 9:45 so I could make myself a shake and open presents while leaving some time to write before we left for the Dave & Buster's trip. Presents included:

  • A new bathrobe (my old one, like my slippers, was pretty much worn out)
  • A $25 Newbury's gift card
  • A new alarm clock (mine died a little while back, and I've been borrrowing Mom and Dad's)
  • A CD of the music from the BTTF trilogy done by the Royal Scottish Orchestra (believe this was released for the 25th anniversary?)
  • A Doc Brown shirt! As in a shirt that looks just like the one Doc Brown wore in The Ride! Same print and everything! :D This is a major score, as we've been trying to get a shirt like that for AAAGES. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to wear it today because when I tried to put it on, a button popped off. X( Maybe this upcoming weekend.

-->Off on the road about noon -- I drove us up Rt 1 to Warwick, taking a lot of back roads and such. Quite a few assholes out on the road today -- had at least three people either pull right out in front of me or cut me off. And there was one bad moment when Mom accidentally had me get into the wrong lane, which turned in a way we didn't want to go -- and when she tried to get me to turn into a driveway, we were in the wrong lane and -- well, if I hadn't seen a car coming up right beside us. . . Fortunately nothing happened and we managed to get back on track, but whew! However, they both said I did well, so that's nice to know. Mom took over driving when we saw a house she was looking at for us and realized it looked nothing like its online picture. *grumble*

-->Hit Dave & Buster's for lunch and games around 2. Games were pretty fun, though we ran into some broken ones with bad balls (fortunately we were able to get attendants to fix both) -- we all had a pretty good run on the Ghostbusters game. :) Food, though -- ugh. I have never had such tough and chewy chicken fingers in my life. :( Mom and Dad's meals were horrible too. We've already decided that, next year, we're going to a different restaurant.

-->Quick stop at Newbury's for the latest BTTF comic, which Dad was kind enough to buy for me. The plot has gotten Game-style insane AND I LOVE IT. XD

-->And then back home, where I caught up on tumblr, watched Helloween play the Nier Automata demo (looks beautiful, great combat, what story we've gotten is already pretty intriguing), found my coworkers had sent me a nice birthday card (aw!), and received two more gifts from online buds:

And now it's way late and I do have to go to bed -- at least it was a very nice 30th! And now I get to listen to my new BTTF CD, w000~ Night all!
