Paint Scratch Saturday

crossover_chickYes, Mom and I spent about a half-hour this morning scraping purple drips and such off the white trip in my room, like doorways and such. Well, I say we did -- Mom did the actual scraping with steel wool and a razor knife, and I followed along afterward wiping everything down and doing some cleaning (my baseboard heating was dusty). The plan was that we'd follow-up with touching up all the trim and the walls, but thanks to it being rainy, Mom decided to wait for a nicer day for that. So currently my closets and my baseboards have a lot of scratched-up paint around them. At least it'll all look good once it's done.
Other accomplishments of the day:
-->Writing some more on "Fixing You" -- have gotten the gang down to the Land of the Dead after visiting Emily's grave! They're just about to run into the inhabitants, notably Bonejangles, who has a surprise for them.
-->Playing Sims 4 -- Alice had the day off work, so the whole Van Dort household was at home! Though I actually ended up sending the adults to the gym for a while since they haven't been out in ages and I figured they could use a little muscle tone. Emma has maxed her Potty skill (it only goes to Level 3, admittedly, but still), and gotten her Thinking skill up to 3 and her Imagination up to 4. Smart little cookie! I also got Victor and Alice some reward traits -- Alice, who has plenty of points from her Aspiration, got both Creative Visionary (better chance of masterworks while painting/writing) and Frugal (reduces bills); Victor, who had less, got the more-expensive Super Green Thumb (increases vitality of plants he grows). It's so nice to see them doing so well. :)
-->Cleared out my Watch Later queue on YouTube, which included the latest "Atop The Fourth Wall" episode (Linkara reviewed a super-early Image comic, Stormwatch #0 -- bad, but honestly just "meh" when compared to some of the other shit he's reviewed from that company; he also wrapped up his storyline in a pretty epic way), an Outside XBox Hitman mission (which, thanks to a certain opportunity, saw Agent 47 killing people in a fortune teller's outfit, yes I know), and some Outside XBox playing We Happy Few (difficult game is difficult! The Wellies are on a hair trigger currently when it comes to suspicious behavior). So good times there, and leaves me free and clear for tomorrow's Helloween Marathon.

It is both a cute and sad chapter in that Victoria and Sir Christopher and Emily and Richard get their flirt on, but some ill-timed words on Alice's part stall Victor's confession of love to her. Good thing I only let this nonsense go on for one chapter!
