Return Of The Busy Saturday

-->Woke up around nine -- had breakfast, changed my sheets, got dressed, and then abruptly remembered shit there's forms I have to fill out before I go to the dentist -- fortunately I was able to print them out on Dad's computer and quickly fill them out before I went
-->Went out driving around 10:45, an hour before my appointment. Went down some different streets for a change -- had to avoid both a funeral and some fire trucks along the way. We did some more backing up practice (I'm pretty solid at it now), then just drove around for a bit so I could get used to going up and down side streets and through traffic and suchlike. Ended with a trip to a local dollar store for candles for our jack-o-lanterns, and then the dentist!
-->Dentist visit went well! Everyone was nice, and they did have my X-Rays. They DID end up taking their own set to better see some of the teeth in the back of my mouth, but I was assured I wouldn't be charged, so. . . Cleaning went fine, and while the dentist told me I should think about having my wisdom teeth out, he also gave me a five year time frame for this, so. . . They're also watching a few teeth that have grooves in them, but I don't think they'll be a problem. Came out feeling pretty good about things. Even if they are once again over-informing me about the date of my next appointment. (A card, a text message on my phone, AND an e-mail. Cripes, does no one remember their dentist appointments anymore?)
-->Came home, had lunch, then helped Mom clean -- I did my room and the living room, she did kitchen, bathroom, and her and Dad's bedroom. Typical Saturday stuff, lasted until about 3ish.
-->I went and did my writing -- more "Technicolor Phase," with the short that introduces Victor and Victoria to Alice. Took me a bit to get down, and it probably needs a fair bit of revision, but hey, at least it's written.
-->Then I played Sims 4 -- my intention was for Alice to start on her transformation into a vampire, but between her needing to go to work and everyone except the toddler being super tired by the end of the day, it just didn't happen. I'm planning on sticking with the Van Dorts until it DOES happen, however, so. . .next play session is another day! And I did get some cute pictures out of it. Plus Victor finished another song, so that's good.
-->While I was doing that, Mom carved jack-o-lanterns! We have three this year, one for each member of the family (though Mom did all the carving). Mom did a traditional scary face for Dad's, a fancy peace sign design for hers, and mine. . .is a Victor pumpkin! :D She found the pattern online and carved it out for me. It all looks really good: here's the tumblr post with them all lit up, plus our house decorations. It's nice to have jack-o-lanterns again. Really gets you into the Halloween spirit.
-->Had supper while watching Jack Whitehall (British comedian, quite funny), took my shower, watched a video in my Watch Later queue -- and then Dad's dentures broke while he and Mom were having dessert, which cast a bit of a pall over the rest of the evening. Mom thinks she's fixed them, fortunately -- fingers crossed.
-->Watched another video with my dessert, then answered a question on tumblr (which took longer than anticipated), and I'm currently working on replies for The Valice Multiverse. And I uploaded the unlucky 13 chapter of "Secundus" to AO3: read it here. So gotta queue that up on my main. . .gotta do a lot of things still. Feels like a very run-run-run Saturday. At least tomorrow should be a little quieter. . .and I've got a midweek break to look forward to. So that's something.
