As in, Mom and I didn't get the items we planned to get -- fabric for my coworker's Christmas presents and work shoes for her -- but we did manage to get Dad's Christmas present and some extra groceries. So not a total bust. Though it was frustrating on the fabric side -- there were almost no good patterns in either Lorraine Mill or Wal-Mart, and anything halfway decent was just too expensive per yard! Mom actually went back to the drawing board to find a new, smaller bag pattern so we can use less fabric and use stuff like "fat quarters" (precut 1/4 yard pieces) which tend to be cheaper than standard fabric. We're driving up to Warwick tomorrow to try and actually accomplish our aims this time -- wish us luck!

After the usual cleaning, I hopped on the computer and did some writing -- birthday story for my friend Ally on tumblr. And then, after that, I decided I was more in the mood for BioShock than Sims 4 (especially since I've got to make game backups and clean up my custom content before diving into that again. I'll need whatever time I manage to save tomorrow by not having to vacuum, dust, and Swiffer to get that done). Currently exploring the Fontaine Home For the Poor/Little Sister Orphanage for goodies and audio diaries. According to the guide I looked up online, I'm in the home stretch for the game. Should definitely finish it by the end of the year, I think. Having the extra time around Thanksgiving weekend should help too. . . As long as I have the chance to set a few more Cyclone Traps for people, I'll be happy. That plasmid is super fun, seriously. XD

And then it was video time -- a couple of Outside XBox/Outside XTra lists, and Helloween's two latest sets of Darkwood! The latter featured a lot of death -- both Helloween's (he got bum rushed by chompers one night and mangled) and other people's (he raided the villagers in the quarry and basically slaughtered them all). Game remains pretty damn creepy -- the various mutations and such are just -- bleeeegh. But it's fun watching Helloween play, simply because he's so into it. Seriously, this guy can make just about anything amusing. XD

And then it was just the usual catching up on everything else. Got another chapter of "Secundus" posted: The One With All The Kidnappings. Forgot how much I was into some of those other fandoms back in the day. . .ah, fond memories. :) Currently doing the RP thing, and I've got some messages in my inbox, so I'd better answer those. Tomorrow: Warwick, more "Secundus 2," Sims 4 (hopefully with a minimum of my game blowing up), Helloween's The Evil Within 2 and Castlevania Saturday videos, Sim Supply's "Wags to Riches," and some Hitman via Outside XBox. Fingers crossed all goes well! Night!

Talking about how far I am in my Watch Later queue? I just got to Helloween's stream with American McGee, which was posted on August 14th. So I'm three months and some change behind. XD So~ glad I have some time off coming up, lol.

On a semi-related note, one of the guys I follow did an interview with the voice of GLaDOS, though sometimes the things she says tends to drag on a bit; she has a bit of a...I guess verbal tic is the only way I can describe it: she says "you know" a lot, sometimes multiple times within the things she's talking about. Still, it was interesting listening to even though I've never played the games; I just know them through you. It's here if you're interested and have 45 minutes to kill. Or you can stick it in your Watch Later and not for a few months. :p
