crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)

Last day of the long weekend :( Ah well, this one was at least nice and quiet. Didn't have to leave the house at all today. Not that I didn't get things accomplished:

-->The DIY tile coasters are made! Or, well, stage one has been completed, which is "cut out the squares from the paper and glue them to each coaster." Mom and I worked together to make sure everything went smoothly -- I scuffed up tiles and glued the paper to them, while Mom cut out the squares and went over them after gluing with a rolling pin to make sure there weren't any trapped air bubbles. The plan now is to give them a quick coat of polyurethane spray once a day for five days to get a nice, smooth, glossy finish, then glue felt to the bottom of each coaster so they don't scuff things. Then we'll tie them into packs of four with nice ribbon, and that'll be set! They really do look nice -- I'm glad Mom and I found the instructions while searching out alternatives to the original tote bag plan. :D

-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" -- finishing up the tour of Hill Valley for the newcomers. Next time I'll finally get them in the Palace and meeting Marty's family and the other residents. Good times.

-->Watched a bunch of YouTube videos, including some Kubz Scout videos (more 60 Seconds and some free random games he decided to try), another episode of "Wags To Riches" (James trying desperately to fix the layout of his upstairs living quarters) and a random genetics challenge for cats (everyone ended up very pink and blue) from The Sim Supply, and Helloween's latest The Evil Within 2 sets (he is getting very good at predicting where the "plot" is going, and is basically unimpressed with how the game handles various things).

-->Played Sims 4, finished up my day with the Van Dorts ant their new pets! The animals are adapting well to the home -- although Dinah seems oddly terrified of electronics. She dislikes the TV, the microwave, and the computer. O.o Well, I guess she is a VICTORIAN cat. . . Also, Scraps had an unfortunate moment of barking the baby awake -- had Victor scold him to put a stop to that right fast. However, the adults of the household are already making friends with the animals, and Scraps and Dinah also seem to like each other -- they play chase around the house and garden a lot. And Emma managed to max her Movement skill through dancing, tower-building, and playing with her parents. Things are going well for them! I also got some more pictures of my Valice fanfiction pets for an extra post on VictorLuvsAlice this upcoming Wednesday.

-->Got my ValiceMultiverse queue done, which is nice, and answered at least a few of the comments and messages in my inbox, which is also nice

-->Sent out my Christmas/Birthday list to Mom. Which isn't much -- there isn't a lot I want. Our big present to ourselves is paying off a bit more of the mortgage in December so we can get it off our hands that much earlier. But there were some comics and small toys I wanted, so why not?

And now, time for bed. We'll see what work holds tomorrow! Night all!
