crossover_chick | Mini-Storm Morning

What was supposed to be flurries turned out to be a pretty steady snow that mucked up the roads -- enough so that Mom decided to drive. Good thing too -- almost right out of the gate we hit a slippery patch. Nothing happened, thankfully, and I actually got to work just a couple of minutes late. The rest of my coworkers trickled in over the next couple of hours -- they'd all had to go through REAL hell with their commutes, poor guys. My supervisor even had to turn around on her first attempt thanks to being on an icy hill -- she decided it wasn't worth it and waited it out at home until the snow stopped and the plows came through. The roads were okay when Dad brought me home, but now we get to see just how badly they freeze overnight. . .

However, there was an upside -- they let everybody out early because of the Christmas Party! I once again declined to attend, because -- well, there's a Mass at the beginning, and not being Catholic myself. . . But I'll happily take an extra hour to work on fics and the like. I thought it was going to be an hour shopping for Mom, but when I showed Dad what was left on the list, he said he could easily pick that up on his own tomorrow before coming to get me. So yeah, that'll be that then! :)

So yeah, I used my hour to bang out another gift fic, read some stuff online, and watch a few videos (mostly WhatCulture and Outside XBox stuff). Also got my Valice Multiverse queue done, and my VictorLuvsAlice queue complete up until the first half of Sunday. And I know pretty much EXACTLY what I want to do for next week, which makes life a lot easier. Hooray for planning!

Also hooray for getting some sleep -- still gotta get through Friday! Night all, sleep tight!
