crossover_chickNot that I did anything particularly related to that holiday, not being English and all. It was a pretty low-key day in general:
-->Got back on the "Secundus 2" bandwagon with my writing -- wrote the gang meeting the mayor! Who is a much more antagonistic figure in this universe -- but then again, Doc and Marty did start some fires in his town, and ruin his hat, in the past. Even with that, though, he's a bit unnecessarily rude to our mains -- happily, the McFly family has got their backs, particularly George. :)
-->Caught up on Helloween's latest X-Mas Games video (Lemmings, which he originally played on the Amiga) and his first Donkey Kong Country 2 set (he is a fan of Dixie Kong, her prehensile hair, and her mad guitar skills); Linkara's "Christmas With the Superheroes" episode (an anthology with some nice stories, including Wonder Woman and a female minister helping each other through a tough time, and some stupid ones, like a rich man giving up on humanity because "everything got worse once I stopped believing in Santa Claus!"); the tiebreaker OXbox Christmas Challenge (Mike vs Andy in who would get a higher ranking in PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds -- one of those survival games where you scavenge supplies from the landscape and have to defend yourself from other players. Mike managed to get to #13 before he was killed, but Andy -- who hadn't even played before -- made it to #3! (only two other people alive besides him) So he won, hooray for him); and a "best of 2017" video made by Outside Xtra (showcasing some great moments from their channel over the past year -- I'm shocked to discover they're only just over a year old! Here's hoping they stay around for a while).
-->Played more BioShock 2 -- it's still being a tiny bit crashy, but I'm being very careful about saving fairly often, so I didn't lose too much progress. Sometimes I think it has trouble loading in all the assets. . .anyway, I'm past the opening area (having met Tenenbaum and killed a bunch of splicers, and gotten myself declared Rapture Enemy #1 by Lamb), and I'm now working with Sinclair, who seems -- a bit of a sleazeball, but he's helping me right at the moment, so we're good for now. I've actually killed my first Big Daddy and adopted my first Little Sister, and we're in the middle of gathering up ADAM in Ryan Amusements. Which is delightfully horrible -- I love the stupid audio tour, and I'm right on the cusp of "Journey to the Surface," a Disneyland-esque propaganda ride. I'm sure it'll be loads of fun! :D What won't be loads of fun is killing off all the splicers coming out of the woodwork while my girl collects ADAM -- I nearly died during the first fight. There's LOADS, and even though I have a machine gun now. . . I need some damn proximity mines, not these lousy "trap rivets." Where's my grenade launcher?
-->Went outside for the mail, didn't enjoy the experience -- it's going to be a FREAKING COLD week this week, apparently. I'm planning on spending as much of it indoors as possible. Although we are going out tomorrow for the usual birthday Dave & Buster's trip. . .still, that'll be inside a nice warm car, and inside a nice warm mall. Just gotta bundle up for the moments getting to and from each place!
-->Currently doing some RP stuff -- ended up queuing last night because I was watching videos and chatting with a friend on tumblr messenger. Managed to get on a bit earlier tonight, which is good because I have a definite bedtime of about 1 AM so I can get up in enough time for our little trip.
And that's about it, really! Again, nice, low-key day. I'm enjoying not having to worry about work all this week, that's for darn sure. Great just to hang out and enjoy myself with videos and fanfic and all that. Just the kind of end-of-year destresser I needed, I think.
Anyway -- need to get back to my RP threads now. Night all! See you when I'm 31! :P
