Things Are Ramping Up At Work

crossover_chickNew CAP batch getting prepped; staff meeting to talk about how to handle the new capital campaign gifts; helping my supervisor run reports on donors and the new analytics we've gotten on them; doing the first big import of the year -- yeah, it was a busy Friday. Managed to keep on top of it for the most part, though the reports and import have had to be delayed to this Monday -- we had to fix an error on the former, which means I ran out of time to actually import the latter. Ah well, just jump right back into it next week. I'm not gonna worry about it on the weekend. There will be plenty of time for stress next week.
Evening's been a bit scattered -- I struggled to get another chunk done on "Fixing You" tonight. Mostly because a) writing about traveling in Wonderland can be tricky because of the platforming, b) I kept getting involved in rewatching Helloween's LP of A:MR, and c) I threw out a whole section that felt superfluous and it took me a while to come up with a replacement. Did eventually get something good (regarding the fact that I think it would be cute for Alice to be the one writing her own books in this verse), but bleh. At least it's only edit pass two -- I still have the individual chapter polishing to get through as well. Ugh, why must writing be so slow sometimes. . . I also answered some of the stuff in my inbox, and did a meme I've been meaning to do all week on tumblr. Still need to do my Song Saturday post, though, and my Valice Multiverse queue (though admittedly I was waiting for some actual REPLIES to pop up on the latter). Lagging behind here.
One nice thing -- The Sim Supply is back from his vacation! With a video about getting all Sim deaths! (Well, all ORDINARY Sim deaths -- the list he used forgot to put on the "death by sunlight" vampires can get.) It was pretty amusing, especially since he used a Bill Murray Sim as his victim and did the whole video with a Groundhog Day theme. XD Good times. . . Looking forward to his next "Wags To Riches" and "Rags To Riches: EXTREME" videos! Though, really, what I SHOULD do this weekend is finally use my Amazon gift cards to buy Dirk Gently Season 2 and that Call of Cthulhu book I've been meaning to. Mom's already getting me out tomorrow on a new coat trip, so. . .
Worrying about that tomorrow, though. I've got shit to do right now. Night all, sleep tight!
