Kind of Distracted Sunday
Jan. 21st, 2018 11:35 pmYeah, not a very good day for getting things done. . .I even ended up skipping working on "Secundus 2" in favor of a side idea that's been on my mind. I am blaming Sims 4 for this mess -- specifically, me finally getting a chance to turn Alice into a vampire. I'm eager to keep advancing her on her journey (and finally get that damn daywalker power) and doing stuff with her powers. . .
Okay fine I'm distracted by the fact I can finally get pictures of a hypnotized Victor what do you want from me you know I'm into that
ANYWAY, while it wasn't the best creative day, I did get a page on the side thing, so writing was accomplished, at least. I also:
-->Watched another Kubz Scouts Yandere Simulator video (ANOTHER new Easter Egg, this one with some interesting new features, including the ability to laser-blast students into the sky)
-->Watched Helloween's latest videos -- the next bit of the Dark Souls 3 Ringed City DLC (he managed to defeat a three-part demonic boss with the help of Amnesiac Lapp, a hardcore friendly NPC who can be summoned as a phantom -- the Ringed City itself is gorgeous, but extremely deadly, as Helloween discovered shortly after arrival); the next bit of Resident Evil 6 co-op with Klyka (Klyka kept falling into zombie holes, Helloween died once, the dialogue and plot and just everything remains utterly ridiculous and all the better for it); and the next bit of The Evil Within 2 (now with a flashback sequence to The Evil Within proving that Helloween will always die to the Spider Waifu)
-->Played Sims 4, natch -- Alice is now a prime vampire and has the Mesmerize ability and the Child of the Moon power booster. I took Fitful Sleep as her weakness, simply because -- well, I haven't HAD her sleep since she became a vampire. Dark Meditation has been taking care of her Vampire Energy needs so far. And nightmares probably are sadly in-character for her. And yes, Victor got both mesmerized and compelled for a drink, because I'm me. On the plus side, he's gotten some painting skill, and Emma's first day of school went pretty well, so there's that. :)
-->Watched the end of the Pats game -- it was a close one, but we won, and the Patriots are off to another Super Bowl! Now to see if we can win another Super Bowl. . . Then Mom and I went out to get pizza, om nom~
-->Did my Valice Multiverse queue -- not a heck of a lot, but enough to fill out Monday.
And now, since it's a full week of work this week, I have to hit the sheets. Meeeh. Well, nothing to do but get through it. Also gotta get Mom's birthday present tomorrow -- at least I know exactly what she wants. *nods* Night all!

Date: 2018-01-23 04:43 am (UTC)Oh, and I recognized those lines from Wayside School Gets A Little Stranger! Damn, I used to love Wayside when I was younger. . .

Date: 2018-01-23 05:06 pm (UTC)Yeah, I felt really bad about not writing anything for you in forever and this idea popped in my head with Antoinette watching the namesake movie over and over again. It's kind of rough since I basically finished it at like 11pm last night and then posted it so I know I need to do another pass over it. I just didn't tonight because I wanted to draw this time.
I don't know much (read: anything) about births in the Victorian era so I just assumed Alice was on bed rest after Chester's birth or at least didn't want to walk around much because ow. I also assumed Doc gave them a fridge, hehe. And I also assumed she's breastfeeding.

Date: 2018-01-24 04:00 am (UTC)I've had ideas like that -- never know where inspiration might strike. :) And that's all right -- I think it looks pretty good for something created at 11 PM! Another pass never hurts, but still. It works right now. :)
Heh, yeah, I think these are all good assumptions. Alice likely wants to get up and help more (in "Secundus 2" we see she's very vocal about not being an invalid despite her pregnant status), but the doctor probably insisted. Doc giving them a fridge is definitely something he'd do, along with a bunch of other kitchen appliances. And yeah, I always figured she would be too. *checks* Yeah, formula was around (first commercial one popped up in 1867), but I don't know how much Alice would have trusted it. If she can breastfeed, why not?
