Pretty Decent Day

crossover_chick-->Work was not quite as stressful as yesterday -- mainly because I was able to get a few things off my plate. Specifically, that CAP batch is off for scrubbing, and I was able to do all the various credit cards and direct debit stuff with minimal fuss. I'm still struggling with some projects that require me to pull names and addresses and ID numbers and figure out coding for barcodes and stuff like that, but at least I have accomplished things! Stuff coming together.
-->Weather was nice, and I got in another walk! Even opened my window at both work and home! :) Nice to get some fresh air again. Too bad it's all going away tomorrow. *sigh* Darn February -- be over already!
-->Pushed my way through another chunk of "Fixing You" -- have introduced the Ruined Barkis at the Church of Broken Hearts (although he isn't Ruined yet). It annoys me that it can be so hard to get started on writing this sometimes -- I KNOW what I want to say, the image is in my head, so why is it so hard to put into words?? At least once I finally get going, it all seems to work, but still. Writing be hard, yo.
-->Helloween started a new LP! Or, rather, another one of his revisit LPs -- System Shock 2, which he last played in 2009. Watched the "0th" set (tutorials and picking the character's initial skills -- Hells went with a psi build, focusing on mental powers) and the first one with actual action. It's -- kind of weird, because I've never played or even seen this game before (though obviously) I've heard about it, but it feels kind of familiar, what with the skulking through a space station that recently had something go INCREDIBLY wrong, fighting various enhanced enemies (psychic monkeys!), gathering audio logs, going on fetch quests to find the right codes to doors, wielding a wrench as your first weapon --
Oh right the guy who helped make this went on to make the BioShock series NEVER MIND XD Well, it'll be fascinating to see the original product after playing the game that was derived from it.
-->Got my queue done on VictorLuvsAlice done for a few more days. Always nice to get that off my mind for a while.
And now, it's time for bed. Fingers crossed tomorrow is decent too! And that these "snow showers" the weather people are apparently talking about don't actually show up.
