Another Mixed Bag of a Day
Apr. 14th, 2018 11:43 pm-->Woke up later than I meant to (due, naturally, to staying up later than I meant to), to find -- hey, wait a minute, it is actually IS decent out! Dunno if it hit the fabled 70, but it was a kinda warm, sunny morning! My parents cleaned up the front yard a bit while I made myself a smoothie, then went out for a walk around the block. Did three rounds and a bit, which added up to two miles. Yay me.
-->Got my bed made, had lunch with the family, then cleaned my room -- not too bad, but had to deal with a slight reoccurring headache for a bit. (Suspect it was sinus-related. . .or maybe hayfever-related, as my Dad was apparently dealing with some stuff too)
-->Finally got a chance to sit down at the computer and write, aaaand -- blocked! Seriously, I spent SO LONG trying to edit the next bit of "The Technicolor Phase" -- I just could NOT get past the first sentence! I knew sort of what I wanted to say, but the words just weren't coming at all! I eventually abandoned it for another day and managed to bang out a VERY rough draft of another "Holistic Assassin Alice AU" bit, but -- ugh. Blaming that one on my period -- brain fog happens. Seriously, why is "that time of the month" like this. . .
-->McAfee came up with a dangerous file to delete during the latest scan -- and then, for some reason, got stuck in a bit of a holding pattern where it kept trying to delete it AFTER it was deleted (I checked the spot where it said the file was, and it was definitely gone). I had to restart and do another scan to convince it it had done it's job. Me getting twitchy over that and retreating to TV Tropes on my iPad means no video gaming today, nor my planned Deadly Premonition marathon. *grumps*
-->Those last two above meant I wasn't much in a mood either to socialize or RP tonight. Fortunately I was able to explain this to everyone, AND I was able to concentrate enough to get up my queues, including the latest "Scenes from Secundus" -- stollen. So that's good at least.
So yeah -- not a bad start to the day, but I wish the afternoon had been better. Ah well, can't win 'em all. . . Maybe tomorrow will be a little better brain-wise. As it stands, I'm going to answer the last thing in my inbox, then watch some "Super Sim." Max has a mansion now, as seen in a speed build James did -- I look forward to seeing him in his new digs! :) Night all!
